A semiconductor device, including a semiconductor module, a positioning member and a printed board. The semiconductor module includes a case that stores a semiconductor chip, a plurality of external terminals electrically connected to the semiconductor chip and extending upward from a front surface of the case, and a reference pin extending upward from the front surface of the case. The positioning member has a reference hole and a plurality of supporting holes penetrating therethrough. The printed board including a plurality of terminal holes that respectively correspond to the plurality of external terminals. The printed board is disposed on the front surface of the case via the positioning member. The plurality of external terminals of the semiconductor module are respectively attached to the plurality of terminal holes.

Short interconnect assembly with strip elastomer

An electrical contact assembly that uses an elastomer strip for each row of individual contacts. Each contact comprises a rigid bottom pin and a flexible top pin with a pair of arms which extend over and slide along sloped surfaces of the bottom contact. The elastomer strip is located between rows of the bottom and top pins. A bottom socket housing is provided with grooves which receive each elastomer strip. A row of top pins is then placed over each elastomer strip, and through ducts in the bottom socket housing. Bottom pins are then snapped into place in between the pair of arms.

One example described herein includes an integrated circuit (IC) package. The IC package includes a semiconductor die comprising an IC and an IC package enclosure that substantially encloses the semiconductor die. The IC package also includes at least one conductive metal contact. Each of the at least one conductive metal contact is coupled to the semiconductor die and comprises a planar solder surface exterior to the IC package enclosure to which the respective at least one metal contact is soldered to an external conductive metal contact. The planar solder surface includes at least one solder surface feature.
