Apparatus for use in preparing a printed circuit board and photosensitive ink for in an ink jet printer
An apparatus is used in preparing a printed circuit board (PCB). The apparatus can include a common chassis, an inkjet printer mounted on the common chassis, and a pattern exposer mounted on the common chassis. The inkjet printer can selectively print unexposed photosensitive patterns on a PCB substrate with a photosensitive ink. The pattern exposer can expose said photosensitive patterns to radiation thereby defining exposed patterns. A photosensitive ink for use in an ink jet printer can include a photoresist, a solvent, a humectant, a surfactant, an adhesion promoter, and a basic solution. The adhesion promoter is operative to increase anisotropy of a wet etching process of a copper component on which said photosensitive ink is printed.
Printed wiring board and method of manufacturing printed wiring board
Forming, in a printed-wiring board, a via sufficiently filled without residual smear, for use in an insulating layer and the size of the via to be formed. A via of a printed-wiring board comprises a first filling portion which fills at least a center portion of a hole, and a second filling portion which fills a region of the hole that is not filled with the first filling portion. An interface which exists between the second and first filling portions, or an interface which exists between the second filling portion and an insulating layer and the first filling portion has the shape of a truncated cone comprising a tapered surface which is inclined to become thinner from a first surface toward a second surface, and an upper base surface which is positioned in parallel to the second surface and closer to the first surface than to the second surface.
WIRING CIRCUIT BOARD AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A wiring circuit board includes a porous insulating layer, and a first conductive layer sequentially toward one side in the thickness direction. The first conductive layer includes a first signal wire and first ground wires. Each of the first ground wires is thicker than the first signal wire.
Ultrasonic tank and methods for uniform glass substrate etching
In some embodiments, an ultrasonic tank includes a container, an etching solution tank comprising a working area disposed within the container, and a plurality of ultrasonic transducers arranged about a perimeter of the etching solution tank in a configuration that provides a standard deviation of ultrasonic power within the working area of less than about 0.35.
Ultra High Surface Area Integrated Capacitor
The present invention includes a method of fabricating an integrated RF power condition capacitor with a capacitance greater than or equal to 1 nf and less than 1 mm.sup.2, and a device made by the method.
Systems and Methods for Utilizing Laser Cutting and Chemical Etching in Manufacturing Wireless Power Antennas
A PCB for wireless power transfer includes an antenna and the antenna includes a coil. A method for manufacturing the PCB includes providing a prefabricated PCB, the prefabricated PCB including a PCB design and a first area and providing a first sheet of a conductive metal for the first area. The method includes applying an etch resistant coating on a coil area within the first area and laser cutting the first sheet within the coil area, based on a laser cutting path for a first plurality of turns for a first layer of the coil, the first geometry configured wireless power transfer. The method further includes substantially exposing the first sheet to an etching solution, the etching solution substantially removing first portions of the conductive metal from the substrate to define, at least, first turn gaps between at least two of the first plurality of turns.
Wired circuit board and imaging device
A method for producing a wired circuit board, the method including the steps of: a first step of providing an insulating layer having an opening penetrating in the thickness direction at one side surface in the thickness direction of the metal plate, a second step of providing a first barrier layer at one side surface in the thickness direction of the metal plate exposed from the opening by plating, a third step of providing a second barrier layer continuously at one side in the thickness direction of the first barrier layer and an inner surface of the insulating layer facing the opening, a fourth step of providing a conductor layer so as to contact the second barrier layer, and a fifth step of removing the metal plate by etching.
PRINTED WIRING BOARD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PRINTED WIRING BOARD
A printed circuit board which improves the peel strength of a wiring pattern formed at a cavity bottom portion while enabling connection between an electronic component inside a cavity and a circuit outside the cavity to be performed at the cavity bottom portion, includes a cavity in a partial region of a multilayer substrate laminated with an insulating resin layer and an electrical conductor layer on a bottom layer of an insulating resin substrate. The cavity opens on a side of the insulating resin substrate, penetrates the insulating resin substrate, and includes a surface of the insulating resin layer as a bottom surface. The electrical conductor layer has a surface, the surface having a height equivalent to a height of the surface of the insulating resin layer and being embedded in the insulating resin layer in a manner to form a portion of the bottom surface.
Electroless and electrolytic deposition process for forming traces on a catalytic laminate
A process for making a circuit board modifies a catalytic laminate having a resin rich surface with catalytic particles dispersed below a surface exclusion depth. The catalytic laminate is subjected to a drilling and resin-rich surface removal operation to expose the catalytic particles, followed by an electroless plating operation which deposits a thin layer of conductive material on the surface. A photo-masking step follows to define circuit traces, after which an electro-plating deposition occurs, followed by a resist strip operation and a quick etch to remove electroless copper which was previously covered by photoresist.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLASS SUBSTRATE WITH THROUGH GLASS VIAS AND GLASS SUBSTRATE
A method for producing a glass substrate with through glass vias according to the present invention includes: irradiating a glass substrate (10) with a laser beam to form a modified portion; forming a first conductive portion (20a) on a first principal surface of the glass substrate (10), the first conductive portion (20a) being positioned in correspondence with the modified portion (12); and forming a through hole (14) in the glass substrate (10) after formation of the first conductive portion by etching at least the modified portion (12) using an etchant. This method allows easy handling of a glass substrate during formation of a conductive portion such as a circuit on the glass substrate, and is also capable of forming a through hole in the glass substrate relatively quickly while preventing damage to the conductive portion such as a circuit formed on the glass substrate.
