Boards having solderless interconnects
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to printed circuit boards. In one aspect, a device includes a first board and a second board. The first board includes at least two pins defined at an end of the first board. The first pin and the second pin are positioned along a first line and parallel to the first line. The second board includes at least two slots defined at an end of the second board. The first slot and the second slot are positioned along a second line and are angled from the second line by about ±10° to 15°. Each of the pins in the first board is engaged with each of the slots in the second board and forms an electrical connection between the first pin and the first slot and the second pin and the second slot.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECTION STRUCTURE
Provided is a method of manufacturing an electrical connection structure which includes a female connection structure having an inner conductive material inside an insertion hole of a female connection member, and a male connection structure having a conductive column configured to be inserted into and fixed to the insertion hole to be in contact with the inner conductive material, and formed to protrude from a male connection member. The method includes preparing insulating members used for the female connection member and the male connection member, and forming the inner conductive material and the column by patterning a conductive material on each of the insulating member using a photolithography process.
Electronics of an electric motor of a motor vehicle
The disclosure relates to electronics of an electric motor of a motor vehicle, having a connection unit that is placed in electrical contact with a circuit board and attached thereto. The connection unit has a number of leadframes that are stabilized with respect to one another. The connection unit at least partly forms a connector socket for a mating connector, and the connection unit at least partly forms a contact point for an electromagnet of the electric motor.

Printing components to substrate posts
A method of printing comprises providing a component source wafer comprising components, a transfer device, and a patterned substrate. The patterned substrate comprises substrate posts that extend from a surface of the patterned substrate. Components are picked up from the component source wafer by adhering the components to the transfer device. One or more of the picked-up components are printed to the patterned substrate by disposing each of the one or more picked-up components onto one of the substrate posts, thereby providing one or more printed components in a printed structure.
Connector retention mechanism for improved structural reliability
A connector includes mounting tabs that are extended relative to traditional mounting tabs. On a back side of the printed circuit board (PCB), the mounting tabs connect to a back plate. The mounting tabs extend through the PCB and connect with the back plate, which provides improved structural integrity. Depending on the connector, the use of the mounting tabs can use existing mounting holes for the connector and remove the need for additional mounting holes.
HEATING OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD CORE DURING LAMINATE CURE
A multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) includes a laminate between a PCB heating core and a PCB signal core. The PCB heating core includes an electrically conductive resistive heating element upon a first core substrate. During a lamination cure PCB fabrication stage, a platen contacts the PCB and a power supply is electrically connected to the resistive heating element. The laminate is cured with heat transferred by the platen and heat from the resistive heating element. The PCB heating core may be located within an inner layer of the multi-layer PCB to normalize a thermal gradient across the multi-layer PCB that may otherwise occur during the laminate cure fabrication stage. As a result of the normalized thermal gradient, the degree of laminate cure and material characteristics of the cured laminate material are more consistent throughout the multi-layer PCB thickness.

A printed wiring board includes a resin insulating layer, a metal post formed in the insulating layer and protruding from first surface of the insulating layer, a conductor layer formed on second surface of the insulating layer, and a via conductor penetrating through the insulating layer and connecting the metal post and conductor layer. The metal post has a protruding portion protruding from the first surface of the insulating layer and an embedded portion connected to the protruding portion and embedded in the insulating layer such that the protruding portion does not extend onto the insulating layer, and the metal post has upper and side surfaces such that the side surface has unevenness including a first unevenness on side surface of the protruding portion and a second unevenness formed on side surface of the embedded portion and having a size that is larger than a size of the first unevenness.

A method for producing a wired circuit board, including an insulating layer having a first through portion passing through in a thickness direction thereof and a first terminal portion having a second through portion overlapped with the first through portion when projected in the thickness direction, includes the steps of providing a first bonding material at one surface in the thickness direction of the first terminal portion and allowing the first bonding material to flow from the one surface in the thickness direction of the first terminal portion toward the other surface in the thickness direction thereof into the second through portion by allowing the first bonding material to flow.

A method of manufacturing a wiring board includes a stacking process in which N (N is an integer equal to or greater than 2) wiring layers, end portions of which include linear conductor patterns, are stacked, with the end portions superimposed, via substrates (insulating layers) provided among the wiring layers and a laminated plate is manufactured and a removing process in which the insulating layers around the end portions of the conductor patterns of the laminated plate are removed to machine the end portions into N flying leads projecting from an end face.
