A connector for surface mounting with a solder reflow process with closely-spaced solder masses on mounting ends of reference contacts. The solder masses on the reference contacts may fuse for enhanced shielding. The mounting ends of signal and reference contacts may be positioned in rows, configured such that the solder masses of the reference contacts may shield solder masses attached to signal contacts in adjacent rows. The mounting ends of the signal contacts may be disposed in pockets in a surface of the connector housing. In some embodiments, solder balls may be fused to an edge of the signal contact, with the length of the edge extending beyond locations at which the solder ball is fused to. The edge may extend through a wall of the pocket, so as to set a desired impedance in the mounting region of the connector.

The present invention provides a conversion board for printing circuit board and the packaging structure thereof, which is disposed on a plurality of first joint parts of a board member. A plurality of first package pin members are disposed below a first circuit board. The plurality of first package pin members are connected electrically to the corresponding plurality of first joint parts, respectively. The conversion board is disposed on the first circuit board. The conversion board uses a plurality of second joint parts to connect electrically to the plurality of first package pin members. A plurality of second package pin members are disposed below a second circuit board. The plurality of second package pin members are connected electrically to the corresponding plurality of second joint parts, respectively.

Connector assembly with retainer for CPU

An electrical connector assembly includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained to the housing, a metallic frame/fastener surrounding the housing, a retainer/clip positioned upon the housing and retaining a CPU thereon. The metallic frame includes four positioning posts at four corners, and the retainer includes a frame part to form a receiving space for receiving the CPU therein, and further includes four metallic retaining supports embedded within four corners of the retainer corresponding to the four positioning posts so as to allow the four positioning posts to extending therethrough in the vertical direction.

Power delivery module for an electronic package

A power delivery module includes a frame having rails defining an opening that receives an electronic package. A bottom of the frame is mounted to a host circuit board and faces an upper surface of the electronic package. The frame is a layered structure including a power plate, a ground plate, and an insulator electrically isolating the power plate from the ground plate. The power deliver module includes module power contacts electrically connected to the power plate and extending from the bottom for electrical connection to package power contacts of the electronic package. Module ground contacts are electrically connected to the ground plate and extend from the bottom for electrical connection to package ground contacts of the electronic package. The module power contacts and the module ground contacts deliver power to the electronic package.
