FISH FEED PELLETS LOADED WITH A MICROBIAL OIL
The present invention relates to a quick-sinking fish feed in the form of pellets. It has been found that pellets, the diameter of which is <4 mm, have difficulty in sinking, especially in the cold time of the year when the density of water is at its maximum. The reason why the feed does not sink is its low intrinsic weight and the too high surface tension. If the fish does not have time to catch the feed, the pellets will be moved by the waves of the sea through the meshes out into the free water. This problem can be solved by loading or coating the fish feed pellets with an oil comprising at least 10% microbial oil.
BIOLOGICAL INORGANIC COMPOUND COMPLEX HAVING REDUCED OXYGEN AND HIGH REDUCING ABILITY
Provided is an inorganic composite compound having reduced oxygen and a high reducing ability, which includes elements having a positive atomic valence of a plant-derived component and a sulfur compound. The compound provides a therapeutic treatment effect and a pharmacological effect and is useful to suppress the influence of active oxygen (oxidization) and cannot be produced by a synthetic chemical technique. A method of producing the same is also provided.
MICRO-ENCAPSULATED AQUACULTURE FEED
To provide a feed that does not pollute rearing water, improves the immunity activity of leptocephalus larvae, is capable of directly feeding eel leptocephalus, and is capable of effectively inducing the growth of said larvae into glass eels. This micro-encapsulated aquaculture feed includes: an oil phase 11 having an oil-soluble nutrient component; a water phase 13 which is present inside the oil phase 11, and which includes a water-soluble nutrient component; and a film 15 which includes the oil phase 11 and the water phase 13. The water-soluble nutrient component includes at least one hydrolysate from among hydrolysates of amino acids, oligopeptides, and proteins.
FEED INGREDIENTS COMPRISING LYSED MICROBIAL CELLS
The present disclosure relate to feed ingredients and formulated feed, methods for their manufacture, and uses thereof in nutritional applications such as in aquaculture, terrestrial animal feed, and human nutrition. The feed ingredient compositions comprise lysed microbial cells with a small aspect ratio and triglyceride oil.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING LARVAE REARING SUBSTRATE
The present disclosure relates to the field of insect rearing. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to an insect larvae rearing substrate prepared from solubles derived from plant processing methods, in particular for the production of starch, proteins, ethanol or palm oil, a preparation method therefor and a rearing method using such a substrate.
Microbial-Based Process for High Quality Protein Concentrate
The present invention describes a bio-based process to produce high quality protein concentrate (HQPC) by converting plant derived celluloses into bioavailable protein via aerobic incubation, including the use of such HQPC so produced as a nutrient, including use as a fish meal replacement in aquaculture diets.
FEED FOR AQUATIC ANIMALS
An object is to provide a feed for aquatic animals that comprises a fish-meal-alternative material. A feed for aquatic animals, comprising (A) an insect material having a calcium content of 800 to 3500 mg/100 g and/or a magnesium content of 230 to 1000 mg/100 g, and (B) fish meal and/or a fish-meal-alternative material.
Methods of microbial oil extraction and separation
Lipids can be extracted from a microbial biomass that constitutes at least 20% lipids by weight and has a moisture content of less than 4% by weight by applying pressure to the biomass so as to release lipids therefrom, thereby leaving a biomass of reduced lipid content; and collecting the lipids.
Method for the conversion of insects into nutrient streams and products resulting therefrom
The present invention relates to a method for converting insects into nutrient streams, such as a puree, an enzymatically hydrolysed puree, a fat fraction and a protein fraction. The invention further relates to the (hydrolysed) puree and to the fractions obtainable by said methods and to their use as a food or feed product or as an ingredient therefore. The invention also relates to a method for converting insect larvae into a composition with anti-oxidant properties. Thus, the invention also relates to a method for converting insect larvae into an antioxidant composition. In addition, the invention relates to a composition with anti-oxidant properties obtainable by said method and to the use of the composition as a health promoting food ingredient or as a feed ingredient.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITION OF PATHOGENIC BACTERIA IN AQUACULTURE
One aspect of the invention relates to a composition comprising: water, soybean, molasses, a mineral mixture, an enzyme, and a microbial mixture comprising Bacillus subtilis 34KLB. Another aspect of the invention relates to a fermented composition of the above composition.
