Valve assembly for exhaust system
A valve assembly for an exhaust system of a vehicle comprises a housing defining an inlet, an outlet, and a longitudinally extending exhaust gas passageway in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The valve assembly further comprises a valve flap disposed in the housing and rotatable between a first position restricting exhaust gas flow through the exhaust gas passageway, and a second position whereat exhaust gas flow through the exhaust gas passageway is less restricted. A mass damper is disposed within the exhaust gas passageway and attached to the valve flap. The mass damper includes end portions and an intermediate portion disposed between the end portions with the intermediate portion having a thickness that is greater than a thickness of the end portions. The mass damper is positioned proximate an inner surface of the housing and positioned between the valve flap and the housing when the valve flap is at the second position.
System and apparatus for controlling fluid flow in drainage systems with a cage device
A fluid control system to control fluid flow within a drainage system is disclosed that includes a cage configured to couple an interior wall of a structure of the drainage system, wherein the cage at least partially surrounds an aperture of the interior wall, and a float device configured to be encapsulated within the cage, wherein while in a resting state, the float device at least partially covers an aperture of the structure of the drainage system. In some instances, when fluid contacts the float device at a flow rate of at least a flow threshold, the float device is configured to at least partially uncover the aperture of the interior wall, or further uncover the aperture of the interior wall. The float device may be formed from a buoyant material and configured to rise from the resting state in accordance with a rising fluid level within the structure.
Check valve pivot pin retainer seal
Embodiments relate to a check valve and methods of making a check valve that include a valve body having an inlet end, an outlet end, a flow bore that extends between the inlet and outlet ends, a cavity which intersects the flow bore, and an opening which is connected to the cavity. In certain embodiments, the check valve further includes a cap removably secured in the opening, a seat cartridge disposed in the cavity, wherein the seat cartridge comprises a chamber with a flow bore, a retainer ring positioned in the valve body between the cap and the seat cartridge, a pivot pin retainer seal provided between the retainer ring and the valve body, wherein the pivot pin retainer seal comprises one or more protrusions extending outwardly in a radial direction from the retainer ring to seal on the valve body, and a flapper pivotally connected to the retainer ring, wherein the flapper is pivotable through the chamber between a closed position in which the flapper is positioned against a shoulder in the seat cartridge and an open position in which the flapper is displaced from the shoulder.
Pressure relief valve
An apparatus for use in venting a compartment in a vehicle includes a housing which at least partially defines an air flow passage. A valve element moves from a closed condition to an open condition to enable air to flow through the air flow passage. The valve element has an inner surface facing the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. The valve element has an outer surface opposite the inner surface facing away from the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. A spring wire deflects as the valve element moves from the closed condition toward the open condition and is effective to urge the valve element toward the closed condition. The spring wire extends in a straight line from the housing to the inner surface of the valve element when the valve element is in the closed condition.
CHECK VALVES
A check valve comprises a valve housing defining a valve opening and a pair of flapper elements pivotably mounted to the valve housing for rotation relative to the housing between an open position in which they permit fluid flow through the valve opening and a closed position in which they prevent fluid flow through the valve opening. Each flapper element comprises at least one bumper element arranged to engage a stop when in the open position, the bumper element comprising an elastically deformable tongue extending from an upper surface of the flapper element.
Check valve assembly
A check valve assembly for a compressor or a vacuum pump includes a valve body adapted to receive a valve plate pivoting between a first open position and a second closed position. The valve body is connected to a discharge port of a compressor unit or to the intake port of a vacuum pump. A second fluid conduit is attachable to the valve body and is connected to an external network. The assembly includes a shaft and at least one bearing for connecting the valve plate to the valve body. The valve plate includes an elongated area having a hollow tube through which the shaft is inserted for rotatably mounting the valve plate. At least one bearing is positioned on the shaft within the hollow tube.
Adjustable check valve
A check valve has an internal gate having an adjustable retention force, such that in the event that if the differential pressure between the upstream and downstream pressure changes, the force required to allow flow through the valve may be adjusted without removal of the valve from the piping system.

Angle type check valve
There is provided an angle type check valve which enables simple and quick replacement operations of a valve body and a valve seat without releasing a piping coupled state and has excellent maintainability. In the angle type check valve according to the present invention, as a valve unit, a valve seat, a valve body, and a hinge mechanism are integrally assembled so as to be made into a unit part. The valve unit is attachable to and detachable from a unit fitting portion in the valve box main body. A gripping member is provided on the valve seat. As a result, access to the valve unit attached to the unit fitting portion through the access hole becomes remarkably easier. Therefore, a maintenance operator can perform a fitting operation and a removal operation of the valve unit to and from the unit fitting portion quickly with high work efficiency.
Angle type check valve
There is provided an angle type check valve which enables simple and quick replacement operations of a valve body and a valve seat without releasing a piping coupled state and has excellent maintainability. The angle type check valve according to the present invention includes: a valve box main body which is provided with an inflow port opened on a lower side, an outflow port opened on a lateral side, and an access hole opened on an upper side, and in which a valve chamber that has a bent shape is formed; a lid body which seals the access hole; a valve seat which is provided with a valve port; a valve body which opens and closes the valve port; and a hinge mechanism which supports the valve body. As a valve unit, the valve seat, the valve body, and the hinge mechanism are integrally assembled so as to be made into a unit part. The valve unit is attached to and detached from a unit fitting portion in the valve box main body. A pushing tool is provided which exerts pushing force in a direction of pressing a lower surface of the valve unit against the unit fitting portion in accordance with the operation of fitting the lid body in the access hole.
