Tool for inserting or removing a tang-free wire thread insert, production method therefor and method for manually replacing an entraining blade of this tool
A tool for inserting or removing a tang-free wire thread insert is described, the entraining blade of which is manually fastenable and replaceable within the axial recess of the spindle body by means of a latching connection. In addition to the secure removal of wire thread inserts, this tool construction also ensures a quick replacement of worn entraining blades of the tool. Furthermore, a production method for such a tool is described.
Ring lock mandrel and release mechanism
A mandrel is disclosed for securely holding a screw bit during use, but allowing easy removal of the screw bit for replacement. The mandrel includes a socket having a chamber housing a locking mechanism such as a split-ring. The mandrel further includes a release mechanism such as one or more ears for moving the locking mechanism from a first position where the screw bit is held within the socket and a second position where the screw bit may be removed from the socket.
DRILL BIT ADAPTER TOOL
An adapter tool with a drill bit is provided that selectively connects to a driver to provide added versatility to the driver. The adapter tool includes a spring with an engagement end that extends through a body to selectively engage a recess in the driver. A user can actuate the spring to quickly engage and disengage the adapter from the driver. In practice, a user can use the adapter-driver combination to drill a pilot hole using the drill bit on the adapter, selectively remove the adapter from the driver, and then put a screw into the pilot hole using the driver.

Tool bits with floating magnet sleeves
A tool bit assembly includes a tool bit having a shaft with a first working region disposed at a first end of the shaft and a first reduced diameter portion proximate the working region and disposed between a first shoulder and a second shoulder. A floating sleeve has a rear portion with a pair of opposed window openings, a front portion supporting a magnet, and a pair of balls, with each ball disposed in one of the window openings. The floating sleeve is receivable over the tool bit with the magnet proximate the first working regions and the balls received in the first reduced diameter portion to allow the floating sleeve to move between a first position in which the balls abut the first shoulder and a second position in which the balls abut the second shoulder.

SURGICAL TOOL SYSTEM WITH QUICK RELEASE COUPLING ASSEMBLY
A surgical tool system with a handpiece and a cutting accessory that has inner and outer hubs. The handpiece has a spring biased lock ring that abuts a complementary stop member integral with the accessory outer hub to hold the accessory to the handpiece. An RFID chip is disposed against an inner wall of the accessory outer hub. An elastomeric seal pressed against the inner wall of the accessory outer hub provides environmental protection for the RFID chip. The seal has a rib that extends around the outer perimeter of the proximal end of the outer hub so as to form a seal between the accessory and an adjacent inner wall of the handpiece. Stop tabs extend inwardly from the seal to prevent the drive hub disposed inside the outer hub from falling out.

Clamping device with removable handles
A clamping device has a clamp and a removable handle. A pair of clamping arms is on the clamp. A pivoting device includes a clamp bushing linked with each of the clamping arms of the pair of clamping arms to move the pair of arms between an opened and closed position. The removable handle couples with the clamp bushing. The removable handle includes a release mechanism to actuate the pivot mechanism to move the clamping arms between the open and clamped positions.
