An assembly comprises a compression member configured to receive a force input from a compression tool and a frame including a cradle at one end, an end fitting at the other, and at least one structural member linking the cradle to the end fitting. The cradle is configured to engage one end of the connector and receives the prepared end of the coaxial cable. The end fitting is configured to detachably connect the frame to the compression tool and includes an aperture for receiving the force input from the compression tool. The structural member defines at least one surface configured to guide the compression member along the axis in response to the force input. The compression member imposes an axial force on the other end of the connector and is guided along the axis by the guide surface of the frame.
Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
Apparatus for holding a workpiece to be crimped and tools comprising such an apparatus
An apparatus (102) for holding at least one elongated workpiece (106) to be crimped, wherein the apparatus comprises a holder frame (122), a guide member (124) and a locator element (114) having at least one holder surface (116) defining an elongated cavity (118) for receiving and holding the workpiece. The holder frame is arranged to hold the guide member and the locator element, the at least one elongated cavity having a longitudinal main extension (120). The locator element is movable in a first guide (126) in the direction (127) of the longitudinal main extension. The guide member is movable in a second guide (128) in relation to the locator element in a direction (129) perpendicular to the direction (127) of the longitudinal main extension. The guide member and the locator element are slidably engaged with one another. The guide member, when being moved in a direction (129) perpendicular to the direction (127) of the longitudinal main extension, is configured to move the locator element in the direction (127) of the longitudinal main extension. A crimping tool (170) comprising such an apparatus (102).
Self-adjusting crimping tool
A self-adjusting pliers-type crimping tool includes a crimping arrangement having movable and fixed levers that are pivotally displaced from an open condition toward a fully closed condition, thereby to generate a first crimping force for crimping an electrical contact upon a bare conductor. When the levers are at an intermediate position, a predetermined compensating energy from a caged spring assembly is released and is applied to the crimping arrangement to complete the crimping process. The spring assembly may comprise a stack of spring washers, a helical spring arrangement, or a stack of resilient elastomeric blocks.
Terminating tool for terminating wires to a communication module; and methods
Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a tool capable of terminating two different jack types (i.e. communication modules). That is, two different jack types can be arranged and configured to sit in the tool with a termination device. The tool can be a dual-purpose tool that has a configuration that allows a user to terminate different style jacks by adding termination device that becomes a lacing fixture.
Hand crimp tool
The invention relates to an hand crimp tool for crimping electrical contact terminals onto electrical cables. This hand crimp tool comprises a crimping frame with two substantially parallel guide rails, and the lever handles configured to be manually operated. The hand crimp tool further comprises a first crimping die and a corresponding second crimping die, at least one of which being mounted to a die carrier. The guide rails are substantially bar-shaped and oriented in a common longitudinal direction. The die carrier is configured to slide in a linear direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the guide rails, along inner opposite faces of the guide rails, thereby being guided from a cable receiving position to a crimping position.
Terminal crimping device
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a terminal crimping device and a terminal crimping method which provide improved machining quality. A terminal crimping device is configured to crimp-connect, to an electric wire, each of a pair of adjacent terminals of a plurality of terminals coupled to each other by a carrier, the carrier having a terminal connection section connected to each terminal and a coupling section coupling adjacent terminal connection sections, the terminal crimping device including a carrier cutting unit configured to cut the coupling section, a terminal positioning unit configured to position one terminal of the pair of terminals such that the one terminal is located close to another terminal of the pair of terminals, and crimp dies configured as a pair to crimp-connect each terminal to the electric wire.
Crimping pliers with quick replaceable jaws
The present disclosure provides crimping pliers with quick replaceable jaws, comprising: a crimping pliers body and a jaw; the crimping pliers body comprises a handle; the clamping end of the handle is provided with a groove, the groove is equipped with a fixed block, a guide block and a button, the central section of the button is rotated on the fixed block and one end is used to clamp the front end face of the jaw; the fixed block is provided with a blind hole, and a push-eject spring is placed inside the blind hole; the end of the push-eject spring is in contact with the rear end face of the jaw; the jaw uses the clamping force of button to compress push-eject spring, and simultaneously is in contact with the guide block, the fixed block and the inner wall of the groove.
Crimping tool
The invention relates to pressing or crimping pliers (1). According to the invention a spring device (35) (which is e.g. embodied as U-shaped leaf spring (36)) is used in the crimping pliers. In an equilibrium position (48) the leaf spring (36) is trapped between stops (49, 50). If the pressing or crimping pliers (1) are moved from the equilibrium position (48) in closing direction the leaf spring (36) is biased by a follower (54) such that the leaf spring (36) generates an opening force. In reversed direction the opening movement of the pressing or crimping pliers (1) from the equilibrium position (48) leads to a bias of the leaf spring (36) by a follower (55) such that the leaf spring is able to generate a closing force. According to the invention it is possible to provide that the pressing or crimping pliers (1) automatically and elastically open when reaching the closed position. Furthermore, a workpiece inserted into the pressing or crimping pliers (1) is clamped by a closing force and secured in this way.
