Locking mechanism
A locking mechanism comprises an S-shaped locking member which comprises respective locking hooks arranged at the end of opposed arms of the locking member. A pivot is arranged between the arms of the locking member. The locking member rotates around the axis (A) of the pivot. The locking mechanism further comprises a coupling for coupling the locking member to an actuator for rotating the locking member around the pivot axis (A). The coupling comprises at least one coupling element, an actuator coupling for coupling the at least one coupling element to the actuator and first and second drive couplings for coupling the at least one coupling element independently to each arm of the locking member for transmitting rotational movement thereto, such that failure of one arm of the locking member will not cause loss of drive to the other arm of the locking member.
Exit device assembly
An exit device assembly for use in association with a door having a top, a bottom and a generally vertical surface. The exit door assembly includes an exit device configured to be mounted on the surface of the door, the exit device including a manually movable member, a latch mechanism configured to be mounted adjacent one of the top and the bottom of the door, the latch mechanism including a latch movable between a locking position and a non-locking position, and a non-rigid device for causing movement of the latch in response to movement of the manually movable member.
Motor vehicle door lock
The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock (1) which comprises a locking mechanism having a rotary latch and at least one pawl, and a first actuating lever (8), the locking mechanism being at least indirectly unlockable by means of the actuating lever (8), and the locking mechanism further having a locking device (21). The actuating lever (8) can be disengaged from the locking mechanism by means of the locking device (21). An additional motor vehicle door lock (2) is provided, and said vehicle door lock (2) can be actuated by means of the actuating lever (8). The actuating lever chain to the additional motor vehicle lock (2) can be disengaged by means of the locking device (21).

The coupling comprises at least one coupling element, an actuator coupling for coupling the at last one coupling element to the actuator and first and second drive couplings for coupling the at least one coupling element independently to each arm of the locking member for transmitting rotational movement thereto, such that failure of one arm of the locking member will not cause loss of drive to the other arm of the locking member.
Reinforced motor vehicle lock
The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock, comprising a lock housing, a lock case, a locking mechanism and an operating device, wherein at least one component of the operating device extends through an opening in the lock housing and said opening is designed with at least one reinforcing insert. The main area of the plate or the metal sheet from which the lock case is made is basically relatively large. In light of this, it has proved advantageous to form the reinforcing insert from the lock case. Waste is thus avoided.
