Absorbent sheet for pets
the absorbent sheet for pets which can suppress the outflow of a functional material is provided. An absorbent sheet (10) for pets includes a topsheet (12), a backsheet (14), an absorber (20) provided between the topsheet and the backsheet, a functional (40) material, and a recess (50)that is recessed in a direction from the topsheet toward the backsheet. The functional material (40) is provided at a position of the recess (50).
Absorbent article with an exudate management layer
An absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a liquid impermeable layer, and an absorbent core positioned between the topsheet layer and the liquid impermeable layer. The absorbent article can further include an exudate management layer in fluid communication with the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned on a body facing surface of the topsheet layer. In various embodiments, the exudate management layer can be positioned between the topsheet layer and the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a first component which defines an opening for direct passage of body exudates into the absorbent core. The exudate management layer has a second component which at least partially overlaps the first component of the exudate management layer and further extends in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article in a direction towards the posterior region of the absorbent article.

Ultra Compact One-Handed Folding Mat
A portable mat which keeps itself clean teaches a combination of nine upper surface panels of hard rubber, EPDM, hard neoprene, a very durable bottom surface/substrate holding the mat panels, which may be the neoprene in unitary body embodiments or a separate material in other embodiments, a formula for placement of the panels upon the substrate, a specific folding sequence, and a tenth mud-flap outside of the regular 3×3 pattern of the other nine panels which completes the folding sequence with every bottom surface covered by another bottom surface and no top panel in contact with any bottom surface. A handhold at one corner and indicia on the top surface assist the user in properly folding, as do the formulaic gaps which allow tight proper folding and prevent improper folding.
SHEETING FOR COVERING AN OBJECT
Combination of plastic sheeting for covering an object, such as silage, with at least two layers of sheeting, comprising a first folded sheet and a second folded sheet, wherein the second sheet is folded into said first sheet and wherein said second sheet is at least partially enclosed by said first sheet and wherein the sheets have first and second lateral edges, wherein seen in a cross section, at least the first lateral edges of the two sheets extend in close proximity to each other in the folded combination of sheets.
Method for manufacturing a covering structure for a tubular package and said package, covering structure and package
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a covering structure for a cardboard package comprising a tubular body made up a cardboard material. The covering structure comprises a flat assembly of three materials: (1) a cellulosic material covered with a reactivatable barrier material over the face thereof oriented towards a safety membrane, making up a lid cardboard, (2) a laminating part arranged between said lid cardboard and the safety membrane, with a shape conjugated to the shape of the opening of the tubular body, made from paper, or paper whereof the face oriented towards said lid cardboard is coated with a material having barrier and sealing properties, and (3) a safety membrane, made up of a paper coated with at least one reactivatable barrier material on the surface thereof not oriented towards the laminating part.
Textile Materials Comprising Tapes In Two Oblique Orientations And Its Method And Means For Production
A variety of textile materials comprising tapes oriented in two oblique orientations relative to the textile's length and width directions, called OFT for Oblique Fibre Textiles, are disclosed. Such OFTs are provided with secondary structural integrity/stability, in addition to primary structural integrity/stability, for improved resistance to formation of openings/gaps. OFTs comprising tapes, particularly Spread Fibre and Highly Drawn Polymeric types, are needed in a number of applications such as ballistic mitigation, composite materials, safety products etc. because they provide improved performance, material properties/functions and aesthetics. Such OFTs can be used either independently or in combination with other textile materials. Different types of OFTs are producible by a novel OFT forming process which is technically unlike weaving and braiding processes.
Method and apparatus for creasing facing material used in the manufacture of wallboard
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a method of manufacturing wallboard which includes providing a first layer of facing material, creasing the first layer facing material intermittently to create a series of creased portions, providing a gypsum slurry on the first layer of facing material and providing a second layer of facing material over the gypsum slurry. Further, creasing the first layer of facing material intermittently can include intermittently creasing the first layer of facing material in a substantially linear fashion extending in a first direction of the first layer of facing material so that the first layer of facing material exhibits a linear series of creased portions extending in the first direction of the first layer of facing material and a series of portions that are not creased extending in the first direction of the first layer of facing material.
Composite materials
A fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composite structure incorporates a woven preform containing tows of carbon or other advanced fibres and wires of shape memory alloy (SMA). The SMA wires are capable of absorbing much larger amounts of strain energy than the conventional components of FRP composites and hence enhance the impact resistance of the structure. The woven form incorporates the SMA into the structure in an optimum manner in terms of handling and performance.
Extendable hand-held dry-erase sign
An extendable dry-erase board with a telescoping hand-held support extension handle pivotally-connected at one end to an accordion-folding dry erase board. The device can be easily transported by those traveling via bus, bicycle, walking, etc. to any sporting event, concert, or public demonstration and deployed instantly on-site, the dry-erase board being unfolded into a large prominent sign whereupon a message can be inscribed on the board, erased and rewritten as needed.
