Safety device for a pre-filled syringe and injection device
According to the invention a safety device for a pre-filled syringe comprises a substantially cylindrical and hollow support body and a hollow needle shield slideably arranged relative to the support body. The support body comprises at least one resilient arm and the hollow needle shield or a needle shield assembly comprises at least one curved actuation ramp. The curved actuation ramp protrudes in a lateral direction (L) perpendicular to a central axis (A) of the safety device. The curved actuation ramp comprises a first lateral dimension (L1) at a proximal end of the needle shield and a second lateral dimension (L2) exceeding the first lateral dimension (L1) at a distal end of the needle shield. The resilient arm engages the curved actuation ramp when the needle shield is slid relative to the support body.
AUTOMATICALLY-TRIGGERED NEEDLE PROTECTOR AND INSULIN PEN NEEDLE
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of medical instruments, in particular to an automatically-triggered needle protector and an insulin pen needle. The automatically-triggered needle protector at least includes a needle hub, a protective sleeve, a shield, a spring and a support part. The support part at least includes an initial state and a support state and is configured to be switched into the support state from the initial state. In the initial state, a support base body of the support part is in contact with an upper end of the needle hub, and a circumferential limiting mechanism is arranged between the support base body and a needle body installation portion; and in the support state, the support part disengages from sliding grooves, and lower ends of support arms are located above support surfaces. In the above structure, the shield is automatically triggered, a secondary operation is not needed in a protection process, and the operation is simple, convenient, and fast; and the support part is located on an inner side and supported in a space between the shield and the needle hub in an axial direction, support safety and reliability are better, and meanwhile, a protection state of a needle is not likely to be damaged from outside, thereby effectively preventing secondary usage of the insulin pen needle.
PEN NEEDLE
Disclosed is a pen needle including: a needle; a needle hub which comprises a coupling structure, which can be screw-coupled to a body, holds the needle and has protrusions formed on a supporting surface; a spring which has one side supported on the supporting surface and provides resilience; a plunger which has a plurality of resilient blades, which can be folded or unfolded, and has a hollow through which the needle passes; a small cap which is supported on the other side of the spring and receives the plurality of blades such that the plurality of blades can be received therein or be dislodged; and a medium cap which is coupled to the small cap, accommodates the small cap such that the small cap can move, and has serrations corresponding to the protrusions.
Needle shroud assembly and drug delivery device
Needle shroud assemblies comprising a needle shroud and a support component. At least one of the needle shroud assemblies includes: a shroud body having an inner surface forming a cavity; a shroud beam arranged on the shroud body and biased radially outwards, wherein the support component is arranged on the inner surface of the shroud body and configured to form an inner radial support surface for the shroud body and/or for the shroud beam.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, a multi-chamber container arranged in the housing, a power assembly having accumulated energy arranged in the housing and configured to act on the multi-chamber container for obtaining and delivering a blended compound inside the multi-chamber container and a manually operable assembly extending from the distal end of the housing and being connected with the power assembly, wherein upon a manual movement of the manually operable assembly the power assembly is forced to move towards the proximal end to pressurize the multi-chamber container and wherein the medicament delivery device further comprises a needle shield sleeve slidably arranged in the housing, the needle shield sleeve being configured to interact with the power assembly to release the accumulated energy after the power assembly has been moved towards the proximal end.
Needle and Syringe System with Automatic Safety Shield that Renders a Needle Safe
A safety syringe system that automatically shields a needle after an injection. A plunger extends into a barrel. An elastic return construct is provided that has at least one stretchable arm. The elastic return construct engages the barrel and positions each stretchable arm along the exterior of the barrel. A safety shield is provided that slides over a first end of the barrel. In a first position, the needle is protected by the safety shield. In a second position, the needle is exposed. The safety shield engages and stretches the elastic return construct when moved from the first position to the second position. A locking mechanism is used to lock the safety shield into its second position. The locking mechanism is released by elements displaced by movement of the plunger.
AUTO-INJECTION MEDICAL DEVICE SYSTEM
An injector comprising: (a) a housing; (b) a control releasably secured to the housing; and (c) a syringe movably positioned within the housing, wherein when released, the control drives the syringe to expose a portion of the syringe outside of the housing.
Drug Delivery Device
A drug delivery device comprises a housing adapted to receive a primary package, the housing comprising a distal surface adapted to be placed against an injection site and a proximal surface opposite the distal surface, the proximal surface adapted to be held in the palm of a user's hand during drug delivery, the housing having a flat form-factor in such a manner that a first extension of the housing between the distal surface and the proximal surface is less than at least one extension at right angles to the first extension.
Medicament delivery device having gas propellant
A medicament delivery device has a syringe, a housing, a needle shield, a biasing member and one or more blocking members. The needle shield is biased axially forwardly by the biasing member so as to selectively cover a needle of the syringe. However, the biasing member is prevented from biasing the needle shield axially forwardly until a radial movement of the blocking members has occurred, which is precipitated by a forward axial movement of the syringe. Consequently, the forward movement of the syringe releases the needle shield to automatically make safe the device.
