Single use slurrying and chromatography systems
Methods and systems for chromatography are disclosed that employ a flexible container configured to fit within a support structure and adapted to receive a filtration or absorptive medium. The flexible container can include at least one inlet, at least one outlet, and a separation barrier peripherally sealed within the container to separate the container into a resin containing portion and a drainage portion. The barrier can be configured to exclude the resin material from the drainage portion while allowing fluids to pass therethrough. The disposable chromatography system can further include one or more agitators disposed within the flexible container and adjustably configured to be raised or lowered in the flexible container. When the agitator is in the raised position, the resin packing material can operate in a settled, packed-bed configuration. Alternatively, the agitator in the lowered position permits the chromatography resin packing material to operate in a mixed, slurry configuration.
Mixing assemblies including magnetic impellers
The present disclosure relates to improved magnetic mixing assemblies and mixing system. The magnetic mixing assemblies can provide improved mixing action, ease of use, and low friction. The mixing assemblies can be adapted for use with a wide variety of containers including narrower neck containers and flexible containers.
Blender tool
A blender tool is disclosed for assisting in blending a substance within a blender. The blending tool comprises a primary body and a secondary body. A handle is coupled to the primary body. The primary body and the secondary body slidably engage for defining a telescoping engagement. The telescoping engagement provides a varying tool length. A slip nut engages the telescoping engagement for coupling the primary body to the secondary body and defining a fixed tool length. An appendage is coupled to the secondary body for increasing the contact surface area between the secondary body and the substance and improving the blending of the substance within the blender container. The varying tool length is configured for maintaining a separation between the secondary body and the mixing blade.

Device and method for mixing, in particular dispersing
A device (1) for mixing which comprises a housing (2) with at least one inlet (3). A first process region (4) mixes the supplied substances which are introduced via the inlet (3) while a second process region (5) discharges the mixture via an outlet (6). A first gap-forming element (7), preferably a rotor, is assigned to the first process region (4) and comprises openings (8), and a second gap-forming element (9), preferably a stator, is assigned to the second process region (5) and corresponds with the first gap-forming element (7), wherein the second gap-forming element (9) comprises openings (10). At least one of the gap-forming elements (7, 9) is rotatable relative to the other gap-forming element (7, 9). The openings (8, 10) of the first and second gap-forming elements (7, 9) are arranged such that a mixture passes through the openings from the first into the second process region.

Stirrer producing intermittent jet flow
The problem of providing a stirrer capable of more effectively shearing a fluid to be treated is addressed, by using the action of an intermittent jet stream. A stirrer is provided with a rotor having a blade and a screen, which are relatively rotated such that the fluid to be treated is discharged from the inside of the screen to the outside as an intermittent jet stream through a slit in the screen, the stirrer satisfying condition 1 and condition 2. (Condition 1) the relationship among the width b in the rotating direction of a tip part of the blade, the width s in the circumferential direction of the slit, and the width t in the circumferential direction of the screen member is b2s+t. (Condition 2) the relationship between the width b in the rotating direction of the tip part of the blade and the maximum inner diameter c of the screen is b0.1c.
