The present invention is a dust abatement device that secures over a container. Powdery material, such as plaster, cement, grout or the like, is poured through the device, and mixed with water inside the container. The device has a mounting sleeve and radial manifold. The manifold forms a radial pneumatic channel with a circumferentially disbursed air intake that generates a radially uniform airflow to draw in airborne dust that would otherwise escape to the surrounding air. The manifold is connected to a vacuum with an air filter, and generates a dust shield zone above and around the device, which only extends down from the manifold a few inches. The manifold also funnels material and water into the container, and forms an inner eave that spaces material and water from the air intake, and forms a splash guard to retain upwardly projected splashes of material and water inside the container.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLORING STAIN

The technology of the present application provides a flex or flexible tint system for stains. In certain aspects, the system comprises a known volume of an unpigmented stain and a colorant cartridge of containing a known volume of colorant. The colorant cartridge has a movable bottom and a discharge nozzle at the top. The movable bottom is movable along the colorant cartridge to consistently deliver a known discharge volume of colorant to the known volume of unpigmented stain. The colorant and unpigmented stain are mixed to achieve a stain of the desired color consistently.

Dust shield device

The present invention is a dust shield device that secures over a mixing pail. Powdery material, such as plaster, cement, grout or the like, is poured through the device, and mixed with water inside the pail. The device includes a mounting sleeve, a radial manifold housing and a funnel shaped lid. The manifold housing and lid form a radial pneumatic channel with a circumferentially disbursed air intake that generates a radially uniform airflow that draws in airborne dust that would otherwise escape to the surrounding air. The manifold is connected to a vacuum with an air filter, and generates a dust shield zone and air intake zone above the device. The manifold lid forms a radial guard to prevent downward flows of material and water from entering the manifold, and forms a splash guard to retain upwardly projected splashes of material and water inside the pail.

Bone Cement Mixing System and Apparatus

An apparatus for mixing bone cement for use in orthopedic surgeries includes a mixing region and an agitator for mix the cement ingredients. A temperature sensing means of apparatus determines when that the cement mix can no longer be used. The apparatus can be operated or acted on by a power tool for the mixing of the bone cement. The power tool and/or mixing apparatus may include a mechanical torque limiter that inhibits the agitator as a result of mixing torque exceeding a threshold value. A timer of the apparatus may be started by a sensor of the apparatus or by the user in response to a mechanical torque value. When the timer is complete, a cue by the apparatus signals to the user that the mixed cement is ready and able to be applied.
