Table cutting machine
A cutting machine can include a cutting machine body that is movably supported above a table and capable of vertical movement, the cutting machine body can be positioned at an upward waiting position and a lower end position. The cutting machine body can include an auxiliary cover positioned around a portion of a blade and including a projection. When in the upward waiting position the auxiliary cover is not able to move upward because of the position of the projection, and in the lower end position the auxiliary cover is able to move upward.
Miter saw
A miter saw includes a base assembly and a saw unit pivotably coupled to the base assembly. The saw unit includes a saw blade and a lower blade guard covering a lower portion of the saw blade. The miter saw also includes a linkage for raising the lower blade guard to expose the lower portion of the saw blade as the saw unit is lowered toward the base assembly. The linkage is operable to apply a force to the lower blade guard for holding the lower blade guard in a raised position, without any input from the operator of the miter saw and without changing the length of the linkage, to facilitate changing the saw blade.
POWER TOOL
A power tool includes a motor including a rotation shaft; an output shaft to which a cutting blade is attachable; a belt for transmitting a rotational force of the rotation shaft to the output shaft; an intermediate shaft positioned between the rotation shaft and the output shaft on a transmission path of the rotational force; a plurality of pulleys including a first pulley provided on the rotation shaft and rotatable integrally with the rotation shaft and a second pulley through which the intermediate shaft is inserted and having a diameter greater than that of the first pulley, the first pulley and the second pulley supporting the belt and being rotatable in accordance with rotation of the rotation shaft; and a transmission restricting part provided on a transmission path for transmitting rotation of the second pulley to the cutting blade and configured to interrupt or limit transmission of a rotational force.
CUTTING MACHINE
A fine adjuster for finely adjusting the lateral tilt position of a cutting machine body has improved operability. A cutting machine includes a table, a cutting machine body, a tilting member supporting the cutting machine body in a manner laterally tiltable relative to the table, a tilting locking member, and a lever member to adjust the tilt position of the cutting machine body. The lever member includes a fulcrum coupled to the table in a manner rotatable about an axis, a load point coupled to the tilting member, and an effort point extending from the fulcrum and located at a distance from the fulcrum greater than a distance between the fulcrum and the load point.
SLIDING CUTTING MACHINE
A sliding cutting machine (1) includes: at least one slide bar (51) having an elongated shape; a slide base (17) slidably mounted on the at least one slide bar (51); and a cutting-machine main body (10) mounted on the slide base (17) such that it is movable in an up-down direction relative to the slide base (17). The cutting-machine main body (10) includes: an output shaft (27) that extends in an axial direction orthogonal to an extension direction of the at least one slide bar (51) and on which a cutting tool (11) is mounted; and an electric motor (21) disposed between the cutting tool (11) and the at least one slide bar (51), as viewed along the extension direction of the at least one slide bar (51), while the output shaft (27) is rotating and the cutting tool (11) is vertical.
SLIDING CUTTING MACHINE
A sliding cutting machine (1) includes: slide bars (51); a slide base (52), which slides along the slide bars; and a cutting-machine main body (10), which is swingable in an up-down direction about an up-down swing (pivot) shaft (10a) provided on the slide base. The cutting-machine main body includes: an output shaft (37) extending in an axial direction orthogonal to the slide bars and mounting a cutting tool (11); an electric motor (23) between the cutting tool and the slide bars when the cutting tool is vertical, and located more upward than the slide bars; and a motive-power transmitting part (30) transmitting the driving force of the electric motor to the output shaft. The motive-power transmitting part is between the cutting tool and the slide bars and upward of the slide bars when the cutting-machine main body is at a top dead center.
Machine Tool
A machine tool, in particular a chop saw and/or miter saw, includes (i) at least one pivot arm, (ii) at least one drive unit arranged on the pivot arm, (iii) at least two energy storage units, in particular battery packs, which can be electrically connected in series, for supplying energy to the drive unit, and (iv) at least two coupling units for fastening the energy storage units to the pivot arm. The coupling units are arranged on the pivot arm at an offset to one another with respect to a longitudinal axis of the pivot arm, the longitudinal axis of the pivot arm running at least substantially parallel to coupling surfaces, in particular main extension planes, of the coupling units.
Miter saw
A bevel angle lock and detent system for a miter saw includes a first locking unit fixed relative to the turntable and a second locking unit coupled to a bevel arm of the miter saw. An actuator is moveable between a first position and a second position to move the second locking unit relative to the first locking unit. In the first position, a brake member of the second locking unit is engaged with an arcuate surface of the first locking unit to lock a saw unit relative to a turntable. In the second position, the brake member is disengaged from the arcuate surface, thereby permitting pivoting movement of the saw unit, and a detent member of the second locking unit is engageable a detent aperture of the first locking unit to locate the saw unit relative to the turntable at one predetermined bevel angle.
Miter saw
A miter saw has a base assembly, a table rotatably disposed on the base assembly, a support section rotatably connected to the table, a guide bar fixedly attached to and extending forwardly from the support section, and a saw assembly sliding along the guide bar. The saw assembly is pivotable downwardly for cutting a workpiece disposed on the table. A handle is disposed adjacent to a forward end of the guide bar. The handle is movable between a first position for fixing a rotational position of the support section relative to the table, and a second position for allowing rotational movement of the support section relative to the table.
Miter saw with improved carrying mode
A miter saw has a base assembly and a rotatable table disposed on the base assembly. The rotatable table is rotatable about a substantially vertical miter axis and has a substantially horizontal workpiece-supporting plane. A saw assembly is connected to the table and includes a blade. The blade is movable downwardly from a first position where the blade is above the workpiece-supporting plane to a second position where a portion of the blade is below the workpiece-supporting plane. The base assembly has a top surface and a first handle disposed on the top surface, with a first hole on the top surface extending through the base assembly, the first hole being configured to allow a user to extend the user's hand therethrough and grip the first handle.
