The handling structure is configured for moving the lid with respect to the frame between a first lowered position and a second raised position. The upper lid includes a single panel with a first resistant upper layer and a second layer made of thermo-insulating material fixed on a lower surface of the first upper layer.
Vehicle roof having a roof panel
A vehicle roof having a solid roof portion is provided, which is attached to the vehicle body and which delimits a roof opening, and at least one removable roof panel which covers the roof opening when in a closed position and which is detached from the solid roof portion when in an open position, the roof opening thus being uncovered, wherein the roof panel has at least one lock element on either side of a vertical longitudinal center plane of the roof, each lock element interacting with a respective lock slide which can be moved between at least one locking position, in which it retains the roof panel on the solid roof portion and the in roof opening is closed by the roof panel, and an unlocking position, in which the roof panel can be detached from the solid roof portion.
ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR A CONVERTIBLE MOTOR VEHICLE
A roof assembly for a convertible motor vehicle includes a roof to be placed in contact with a frame of the motor vehicle in a closed roof position, a manual locking device carried by the roof and capable of being operated by hand when the roof is in the closed roof position according to a first operating mode, in which the manual locking device cooperates with the frame to carry out a first constraining action in order to secure the roof to the frame in the closed roof position, and according to a second operating mode, in which the locking device refrains from cooperating with the frame, thus removing the first constraining action, characterized in that it further includes an additional locking device carried by the roof to automatically exert a second constraining action to secure the roof to the frame at least in response to a positioning or a movement of the roof in/to the closed roof position, the additional locking device having release means capable of being operated by hand in order to remove the second constraining action.
Top having a centering pin for a roof tip
A convertible top, having a top linkage, and a roof tip which is fixed to a front cowl of the vehicle in the closed position, and a centering arrangement which defines the position of the roof tip in relation to the cowl in the transverse direction of the vehicle and in the vertical direction of the vehicle in the closed position and which comprises a centering pin which engages into a centering recess of a centering seat. An insert can be disposed in the centering recess having a contact side with which a front end of the centering pin is in contact when in the centering position and formed by an elastic element. Alternatively, an elastic element can be disposed on the front end of the centering pin, and in contact with a ground of the centering recess when the centering pin is in the centering position.
Retractable headliner for vehicle convertible system
A vehicle convertible system include left and right side rails extending in a vehicle length direction and defining a roof opening, and a roof member covering the roof opening. The roof member includes a frame, an outer cover attached to the frame, and a headliner including a cover attached to an underside of the frame. A linkage connected to the roof member moves the roof member between a closed condition and a stowed condition. A retractor attached to the roof member is connected to lateral side portions of the headliner cover. The retractor is operable by movement of the linkage. The retractor moves the lateral side portions between a covering position which conceals the linkage in the closed condition of the roof member and a retracted position inwardly of the side rails to provide clearance for the linkage as the roof member is moved to the stowed position.
Top of a convertible vehicle, comprising a position detector
A convertible top, having a linkage for displacing the top, a roof tip fixed to a front vehicle cowl in a closed position, a top lock which displacable between a locked and released position and secures the roof tip to the front cowl when the top is in the closed position and has a locking support having a pivotable locking hook and a locking counterpart which can be engaged with the locking hook, and a position detector which detects a relative position between the roof tip and the front cowl. The position detector has a sensor unit having at least two Hall-effect sensor elements, one of which switches at a first distance between the sensor unit and a magnetic element and the other one of which switches at a second distance between the sensor unit and the magnetic element, the second distance being different from the first distance.
Noise and heat reduction headliner system for vehicles with soft convertible top
A sound and heat insulator installable on a soft top vehicle includes: a body shaped to fit between a windshield frame and a roll bar of the soft top vehicle, the body having a rigid core, a foam layer located on each of an upper surface and lower surface of the rigid core, and an edging material located over the rigid core and the foam layer and around an edge of the body; one or more first mounting tabs located towards a front of the body; and one or more second mounting tabs located towards a rear of the body. At least one of the one or more first mounting tabs and the one or more second mounting tabs is shaped to engage a hard top mounting point of the soft top vehicle.
An insert is disposed in the centering recess having a contact side with which a front end of the centering pin is in contact when in the centering position and formed by an elastic element. Alternatively, an elastic element is disposed on the front end of the centering pin, and in contact with a ground of the centering recess when the centering pin is in the centering position.
