SECUREMENT DEVICE
In one embodiment, a securement device includes a main body including a first restraint defined in the main body, a second restraint defined in the main body. The first and second restraint are disposed along separate respective restraint axes, the first restraint is adapted to receive a first flexible element, and the second restraint is adapted to receive a second flexible element.
Tensioning system
An improved tensioning system and method of restraining cargo is provided. The tensioning system is easy and quick to operate. The tensioning system is compact and minimises space within a cargo bay. The tensioning system allows a greater angular displacement of a tensioning line over conventional tensioning system, such as a ratchet and strap mechanism.
Retention strap stabilization device
A Retention Strap Stabilization Device is provided that improves the safety and longevity of retention straps used to secure cargo in transportation. The Retention Strap Stabilization Device has a foil body and a strap retaining slot, where in use, the foil body effectively lengthens the trailing edge of a retention strap thus changing the resonant frequency of the retention strap to prevent oscillation of the retention strap while in use on a moving vehicle. The device is held in place by a plurality of retention grips that embed themselves in the retention strap. The device not only prevents damage and resulting breakage of retention straps and the associated safety implications, but also reduces the potential for damage to the cargo being secured by the retention straps when unwanted oscillations of retention straps occur during transit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SECURING HEAVY LOADS
The current invention concerns a device for securing a load in a container. In an embodiment of the current invention, such a device comprises a leaf having a front and a rear main surface, and an aperture extending between said main surfaces for receiving a strap, whereby said rear main surface comprises a protrusion. In a further aspect, the invention is directed towards a method for securing a load, which method employs such a device.
Strap retaining apparatus
The disclosure provides an air deflection apparatus for deflecting airflow around a segment of a strap when the strap is tensioned for securing a load on a movable transport.
Protective device useful in transporting and lifting objects having easily damaged surfaces, including delicate, coated, painted, and polished surfaces
A protective device in the form of a strap including an outermost layer having a first rigidity and a first coefficient of friction, the first coefficient of friction selected to permit a rigging line to self-center between two points when the rigging line is in contact with the outer layer and under tension and an innermost layer having a second, different lower rigidity and a second different coefficient of friction, the second different coefficient of friction selected to prevent movement of the protective device relative to an object as the rigging line self-centers. The protective device prevents damage to the coated surface, including but not limited to telegraphing of the strap onto the coated surface.
Edge protector clip kit
The edge protector clip kit is a device that is adapted to work with an edge protector that is placed on a top, edge of a load of cargo. The edge protector clip kit includes a telescoping pole that is manually grasped in order for a user to manipulate the edge protector. The edge protector clip kit includes a clip holder that is adapted to engage the edge protector from below, and which enables manipulation of the edge protector via the telescoping pole. The telescoping pole is affixed to the clip holder. The clip holder includes a pair of armatures that are adapted to engage opposing sides of a vertical portion of the edge protector. The clip holder also includes a light and on/off button.
Dunnage bag and load strap hanger apparatus and method
A dunnage bag and load strap hanger apparatus includes a dunnage bag and load strap hanger and a handle mounted applicator block operative to support and affix the dunnage bag and load strap hanger. The hanger is fabricated from three distinct and separate parts: a generally planar support substrate, adhesive patches or regions on the support substrate, and release paper covering the adhesive patches. The support substrate in some embodiments is a sheet that is further divided into two contact members separated by a resilient coupler. Each contact member preferably has a contact body, a hanging loop distal to the resilient coupler, and in alternative embodiments an adhesive coating or other fasteners and affixers. In one embodiment there is one affixing surface, and a fastener to couple two contact members together to support a load strap. In another alternative embodiment a load strap is woven through a pair of slots.
Attachment for facilitating securing of a load with a strap, rope or the like
There is disclosed an attachment for facilitating positioning of a pliable or flexible line such that said line extends over at least one object, the attachment being removably attachable to a free end of said line and being able, when so attached, to be thrown so as to carry the end over the object(s) whereby said positioning is effected.
