Recyclable rubber securement mat with self-provided incline stop
A securement mat for mitigating the migration of loads within a shipping vessel. The securement mat having a length, a width, and a height, and including a first subsection and a second subsection, wherein an area of the second subsection is less than an area of the first subsection. The securement mat has a first fold boundary along the length or width of the sheet and proximate to one edge of the sheet defining a boundary between the first and second subsection, wherein the first subsection exhibits a first incline by folding, along the first fold boundary, the second subsection underneath the first subsection. The securement mat also has a notch on each end of the first fold boundary to facilitate folding of the second subsection under the first subsection.
RETENTION DEVICE FOR RESTRAINING AN ARTICLE DURING TRANSPORT OF THE ARTICLE
A retention device for physically restraining undesired movement of an article during transport of the article. Retention devices may include a first surface, a first set of protrusions extending outward from the first surface, a second surface, and a second set of protrusions extending outward from the second surface. Each protrusion in the first set of protrusions may be shaped to engage a floor of a transport vehicle. Each protrusion in the second set of protrusions may be shaped to engage an article positioned in the transport vehicle. The first surface and the second surface may be aligned along different planes at an angular offset. During transport of an article, the first set of protrusions engage with a floor of the transport vehicle, and the second set of protrusions engage with the article. After the transport vehicle has arrived at its destination, the retention device can be released from engaging the floor and the article by lifting the article, as typically occurs when a forklift is used to unload the article from the transport vehicle.
Load and lock containers for carrying goods in vehicles and associated methods
Containers can be used on moving vehicles such as trucks (like pick-up trucks) that have elements on the outside of those containers that allow the containers to be affixed and/or secured to the moving vehicle. The containers can also be easily removed so that they no longer are affixed and/or secured to the moving vehicle. The inside of the container allows goods to be inserted inside the container so that the goods can be transported without the fear of the container failing over and/or the goods falling out of the container. The containers/totes contain protrusions and/or depressions that allow them to snap fit into correspondingly opposite depressions and/or protrusions on the surface of a vehicle or the surface of an optionally present intermediary layer. If an intermediary layer is present, the intermediary layer can be affixed to and or secured to a surface on a vehicle.
Bendable Cargo Securement Device and Method
A compact bendable cargo securement device for stabilizing unrestrained items in the bed or cargo area of a pick-up truck or storage area in a motorhome or recreational trailer is disclosed. It may also be used as a stabilizer doing woodwork and other jobs that require stability of the work platform. The device will conform to any surface and has the ability to wrap around objects—both regular and irregular shaped—and will hold them and keep them from shifting. As disclosed, the bendable cargo securement device is composed of a flexible tube loaded with filler material when used and deployed for securing objects. The flexible tube is preferably fabricated from rubber or any material allowing sufficient flexibility for the cargo securement device to wrap around items while having suitable strength to avoid puncture/destruction from deployment. Each end of the device requires a closure to contain the filler material.
Method for producing a single-sided adhesive film for securing a load and single-sided adhesive film for securing a load
The present invention relates to a method for producing a single-sided adhesive film (1) for securing a load, comprising providing a backing layer (2) and coating a first side of the backing layer (2) with an adhesive layer (3), wherein a plastic (4) is applied to a second side of the backing layer (2) in order to form a non-slip surface on the adhesive film (1). Moreover, the present invention relates to a single-sided adhesive film (1) produced by the above method.
Fixing piece comprising a fibrous fixing structure, and associated assembly and method
A fixing piece, intended to immobilize at least one object on a fibrous covering in a motor vehicle, the fixing piece having a plate defining an upper surface and a lower surface configured to be oriented toward the fibrous covering, the upper surface being intended to come into contact with the object, and at least one object retaining stop protruding from the upper surface. The retaining stop is configured to maintain the object horizontally. The lower surface has a fibrous fixing structure configured to fix the fixing piece on the fibrous covering.

Adaptable vehicle cargo system
A vehicle cargo retaining apparatus and system having a first enclosure with an outer surface and an inner surface. The first enclosure is capable of containing a fluid within the first enclosure, such as to seal the fluid from an external atmosphere. The apparatus and system may further include a plurality of jamming members within the first enclosure and an opening in the enclosure for receiving or removing fluid. In one state, the plurality of jamming members are moveable relative to one another within the first enclosure when fluid is received via the opening allowing the outer surface of the first enclosure to be deformable. In a second state the plurality of jamming members are restricted from moving relative to one another within the first enclosure when fluid is removed via the opening causing the outer surface of the first enclosure to maintain a semi-rigid or rigid state. A control system may control operation of the system to enable the retaining operations.

VARIABLE FRICTION CARGO SURFACE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
Cargo systems are provided for vehicles that include, in one embodiment: a variable cargo surface disposed within a body of the vehicle behind one or more occupant seats, the variable cargo surface including: a low friction surface that facilitates movement of cargo within the cargo system, the low friction surface having a first coefficient of friction; a high friction surface that inhibits movement of cargo within the cargo system, the high friction surface having a second coefficient of friction that is greater than the first coefficient of friction; and a control device that selectively activates the low friction surface and the high friction surface based on conditions for the vehicle; wherein the low friction surface contacts the cargo within the cargo system when the low friction surface is activated; and the high friction surface contacts the cargo within the cargo system when the high friction surface is activated.
