BUMPER LENS UNIT OF A VEHICLE
Bumper lens unit of a vehicle, the bumper lens unit comprising a frame panel; a lens, the lens comprising a composite material which is transparent, the composite material comprising a resin and fibers, in which the refractive index of the resin matches with a refractive index of the fibers, in which nano-particles interphases are arranged around the fibers, a refractive index of the nano-particles interphases is between the refractive index of the resin and the refractive index of the fibers; a structural adhesive, the frame panel and the lens are bonded to each other by the structural adhesive whereby a front wall of the bumper lens unit is flush in the vicinity of a junction between the frame panel and the lens.
Lighting and/or signaling device for vehicles with cap for spacer made in one piece with gasket
A lighting and/or signalling device for motor vehicles, comprising: a container body, a lenticular body that forms a housing chamber; at least one light source, arranged inside the housing chamber; a first gasket made of elastomeric material, which extends along at least one part of a perimeter edge of the container body and which defines a barrier to the ingress of water and/or foreign bodies between the container body and the bodywork. The housing body includes one or more spacer elements, each of which consists of an appendix which protrudes from the housing body in a predetermined position and abuts against the bodywork in the housing seat. Each spacer element is provided with a cap made of elastomeric material applied to cover at least one free end portion of the spacer element.
FOG LAMP MOUNTING STRUCTURE
A fog lamp mounting structure comprises a front bumper skin, a fog lamp bracket mounted on the front bumper skin and a fog lamp cover plate mounted on the fog lamp bracket. The fog lamp cover plate comprises a cover plate main body, a plurality of clamping parts formed by flanging from the top edge of the cover plate main body for clamping one edge of the fog lamp bracket and a plurality of cover plate buckles provided at the bottom edge of the cover plate main body. The fog lamp bracket is provided with cover plate buckle mounting holes matched with the cover plate buckles. Mounting of the fog lamp cover plate can be achieved when the X-direction gap between the fog lamp cover plate and the fog lamp is small, and a vehicle appearance is not affected without increasing cost.
Fastening device for a vehicle lamp unit, lamp unit for a vehicle, and vehicle
A fastening device fastens a lamp unit on a vehicle. The fastening device allows the lamp unit to be fastened to a body part of the vehicle. A lamp unit for the vehicle has a lamp member and a fastening device for fastening the lamp unit to a body part of the vehicle.
Lighting and/or Signalling Device for Vehicles
Bezel apparatus for use with vehicle lamps and related methods
Bezel apparatus for use with vehicle lamps are disclosed. A disclosed bezel for a vehicle lamp includes a skeleton defining a portion of the bezel. The skeleton is configured to provide structural integrity to the bezel. The bezel also includes a film configured to cover the skeleton. The film comprises a first side configured to contact the skeleton and a second side opposite to the first side and including a visual design. The bezel also includes a coupling mechanism configured to couple the film to the skeleton to provide a completed bezel.
Closure element for closing the housing of a headlamp
A closing element for closing a service opening in the housing of a headlamp, and a method therefor, the closing element having a ventilation component, with the aid of which a gas exchange between an inside and an outside of the housing of the headlamp is facilitated. The closing element includes a sealing formation, on which a sealing member may be arranged or is arranged, so that the ventilation component may be or is temporarily closed with the aid of the sealing member.
Lighting units for vehicles
A lighting unit for a vehicle is disclosed that includes a housing; a radial flange that extends outwardly of the housing; and at least one retainer that is fixedly connected to the radial flange such that the at least one retainer extends rearwardly towards a body of the vehicle during installation to allow for removable connection of the lighting unit to the body of the vehicle from a location forward of the vehicle. The at least one retainer is configured for insertion into a corresponding opening in the body of the vehicle and includes a resilient material that facilitates deflection of the at least one retainer during installation and removal of the lighting unit.
Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle includes a housing supporting at least one light and a lens attached to the housing. The lens includes at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component. The attribute may be a pin or an aperture formed in the lens which may extend a distance from a surface of the lens for guiding the skin component. The skin component may be a grille and the attribute may restrict movement of the headlight assembly relative the grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin therebetween. The attribute may be a channel including a bracket for guiding the skin component, for instance, a facia into the channel. The attribute may be a cavity formed in the lens for receiving an overlapping portion of the skin component, for example, a grille.
