TURN SIGNAL AUTO CANCEL MECHANISM HAVING AXIALLY-OPERABLE TOGGLE
A steering assembly for a vehicle includes a housing having a signal portion and defining a shaft enclosure. A steering shaft includes a cancellation rib that rotates about a rotational axis and within the shaft enclosure. A trunnion rotates within the signal portion of the housing about a trunnion axis to define a null position and right-turn and left-turn positions. A toggle includes a cancellation member. The toggle axially and rotationally operates with respect to one of the trunnion and the turn-signal housing. The cancellation member in the null position is within the shaft enclosure and axially offset from the cancellation rib. The cancellation member in one of the right-turn and left-turn positions is within the shaft enclosure and axially aligned for selective engagement with the cancellation rib. Selective engagement of the cancellation rib and the cancellation member axially operates the toggle to the null position.
CANCEL CAM
A cancel cam includes an annular member, a cam wall, and at least one reinforcing rib. The annular member is rotatable integrally with a steering shaft about a rotation axis and includes an outer peripheral portion, an inner peripheral portion, and a first surface. The cam wall extends from the outer peripheral portion in an axial direction and extends along the outer peripheral portion in a circumferential direction. The at least one reinforcing rib extends from the cam wall toward the inner peripheral portion and couples the cam wall to the annular member. The cam wall has a first axial length defined from the first surface in the axial direction. The inner peripheral portion has a second axial length defined from the first surface in the axial direction. The second axial length is shorter than the first axial length.
LEVER OPERATION DEVICE
A lever operation device includes a housing, a lever portion which is attached to the housing and on which a first rotation operation about a first shaft is performed, a magnet attached to a tip portion of the lever portion, a magnetic sensor that is arranged in the housing so as to be located on extension from the tip portion, and a detent portion provided on the lever portion and includes a detent tip end portion and an elastic portion, the detent tip end portion generating a detent by moving with a tilt in a direction of the first rotation operation from a direction of extension from the tip portion of the lever portion and coming into contact with a detent surface of a detent wall arranged on the housing, and the elastic portion applying an elastic force to the detent tip end portion.
INPUT OPERATING APPARATUS
A first virtual rotational axis exists at a position separated from the position of a first virtual line which passes through a path through which the cancel lever is advanced and retracted (in the longitudinal direction of an elongated guide hole). A first engaging portion of the cancel lever is line symmetric about a second virtual line which connects the first virtual rotational axis of a cancel cam member and a second virtual rotational axis of the cancel lever.
TURN SIGNAL SWITCH DEVICE
A turn signal switch device has a manipulation lever and a cancel lever that can advance and retract to and from the rotation path of a cancel protrusion, which is shaped like a sector and rotates together with a shaft. A cancel protrusion engaging part that engages a cancel protrusion is formed at the front end of the cancel lever. The cancel protrusion engaging part is disposed at a position offset from the lever body of the cancel lever in the axial direction of the shaft.
Lever assembly for a steering column of a vehicle
A lever assembly (20) has a lever (24) mounted to a lever housing (22), a plunger (26), an auto-return housing (28) pivotable relative to the lever housing (22), a trigger mechanism (30) movable relative to the auto-return housing (28), and a yoke member (32) pivotable relative to the auto-return housing (22) independent of the auto-return housing. The trigger mechanism (30) is movable to an extended position in response to movement of the plunger (26) for engaging a cam element (12) of the steering column (10) for auto-return of the lever to a rest position. The yoke member (32) interacts with the plunger (26) when the plunger (26) pivots with the lever (24) to cause the yoke (32) to pivot toward an engaged position, and the yoke (32) interacts with the trigger mechanism (30) when the yoke (32) is pivoted to move the trigger mechanism (30) toward the extended position.
STEERING COLUMN SWITCH FOR A VEHICLE
Steering column switch (20) for a vehicle, in particular for a utility vehicle, wherein the steering column switch (20) has a housing (32), an actuating device which can be coupled to an operating element and has at least one actuating element (21, 22, 23), a magnet (24) and a magnetic sensor (28), wherein an actuating movement of an actuating element (21, 22, 23) in a first actuating direction (R1, R2, R3) can bring about a relative movement between the magnet (24) and the magnetic sensor (28) in a first direction of movement and an actuating movement of an actuating element (21, 22, 23) of the actuating device in a second actuating direction (R1, R2, R3) can bring about a relative movement between the magnet (24) and the magnetic sensor (28) in a second direction of movement different from the first direction of movement, wherein the magnetic sensor (28) is set up to detect the relative movement between the magnet (24) and the magnetic sensor (28) in each case in the first direction of movement (R1, R2, R3) and in the second direction of movement (R1, R2, R3) and, depending on the detected relative movement in the first direction of movement, to generate a first switching signal and, depending on the detected relative movement in the second direction of movement, a second switching signal.
Steering Column Switch for a Motor Vehicle
A steering column switch includes a switch lever, a switch piece, a slide, a magnet, and a magnet sensor. The switch lever is pivotable in perpendicular directions. The switch piece is pivotable about the first axis. The switch lever has an end piece pivotably mounted in the switch piece so that the switch lever is pivotable about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The end piece bears a latching sleeve that is engageable into a detent cam at different positions. The slide is mounted on the switch piece so that the slide is linearly displaceable parallel to the first axis and follows switch lever movement about the second axis. The magnet and the magnet sensor are position-able relative to one another via switch lever movements. The magnet is connected to the slide and swivels with the switch piece as the switch piece swivels about the first axis.
Vehicle and method of controlling the same
A vehicle includes a lever; a magnetic sensor configured to detect an angle of movement of the lever; an inputter configured to receive setting information regarding a lane change and a drive mode from a user; and a controller configured to determine whether to lock the lever based on at least one of the detected angle, the setting information, and the drive mode, and unlock the lever based on the drive mode and the lane change.
TURN SIGNAL SWITCH DEVICE
A turn signal switch device that can immediately execute a function different from blinking of a turn signal, and prevent an erroneous operation. The turn signal switch device includes an operation knob configured to be swing-operable along an extending direction of a handlebar, and operable in a direction vertical to the swing direction and extending toward an upper side of a vehicle, in which, if the operation knob is operated in the rising direction, the turn signal executes a lighting mode different from blinking of the turn signal that is performed by the swing operation, and after the operation knob is operated in the swing direction, tor the rising direction, the operation knob returns to a neutral position at which the operation knob is held at a non-operated timing of the operation knob.
