Elevator car, elevator and method

An elevator car includes a roof deck; a plurality of walls; a floor; one or more doors; and a transport space bordered by the roof deck, the plurality of walls, the floor, and at least one openable and closable door for allowing access to said transport space. The roof deck is vertically movable from a first normal use position upwards to a second cargo use position for increasing the height of the transport space, and from the second position downwards back to the first position for reducing the height of the transport space. An elevator and a method implementing the elevator car are also disclosed.

Elevator assembly with counterweight blocking stop

An elevator assembly (1) comprises an elevator car (2), a counterweight (4), and a safety device (8) located on a roof (9) of the elevator car (2). A locking handle (10) is positioned within the elevator shaft (6), and connected to a first end (12a) of a tension member (12). A blocking stop (14) is connected to a second end (12b) of the tension member (12). The blocking stop (14) is moveable between an inactive state, in which the tension member (12) holds the blocking stop (14) in a position in which it does not limit downwards movement of the counterweight (4), and an active state, in which tension in the tension member (12) is reduced to allow the blocking stop (14) to move to a position in which it limits downwards movement of the counterweight (4).

Elevator travel blocking apparatus

A travel blocking apparatus for blocking the movement of a car movably disposed in a hoistway. The travel blocking apparatus includes a flapper mechanism attached to the car and configured, when deployed, to extend an arm outside of an outer side periphery of the car and a prop device disposed in the hoistway and configured to contact the arm when said arm is extended so as to stop the car from moving downwardly in the hoistway.

An exemplary elevator system includes an elevator car. At least one guiderail is situated for guiding movement of the elevator car. A machine mount is supported by the guiderail near a top of the guiderail. A car stop is supported on the elevator car. The car stop is selectively moveable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the car stop allows the elevator car to travel to a maximum vertical position. In the second position the car stop is situated to contact the machine mount to prevent the elevator car from reaching the maximum vertical position.

An elevator car has a pivotable balustrade mounted on a roof of the elevator car and which can be pivoted between a folded-down position and an erected position. To secure the erected position, the balustrade has a locking mechanism by which the balustrade can be locked via a latching connection during a pivoting movement to produce the erected position. The balustrade includes a two-part post with a lower post part and an upper post part, the upper post part being pivotably fastened to the lower post part and on which the locking mechanism is arranged. A latching element of the locking mechanism is mounted vertically on the lower post part so as to be displaceable to a limited degree. The locking mechanism further has an actuating element in the form of a foot pedal or a lever for unlocking the locking position.

System and method for detecting elevator maintenance behavior in elevator hoistway

A system and method for detecting elevator maintenance behaviors in an elevator hoistway. The system of the invention comprises: an emitting component for emitting wireless signals including channel state information (CSI) into the elevator hoistway; a receiving component for receiving the CSI from the elevator hoistway; and a maintenance behavior detecting device, which comprises: a memory that stores CIS image recognition models constructed corresponding to the predefined elevator maintenance behaviors and a corresponding computer program executable on a processor, and the processor configured to be able to execute the computer program to implement the following operations: processing data of the received CSI to obtain a CSI image corresponding to the elevator maintenance behavior detected, and inputting the CSI image to the CSI image recognition model for analysis and processing so as to detect the elevator maintenance behavior.
