A remote triggering device, an overspeed governor assembly and an elevator system are provided. The remote triggering device includes: an actuator seat mounted on a fixed bracket and rotatable between a first position and a second position; an actuator disposed on the actuator seat and having an action end movable between a retracted position and an extended position; and a reset lever extending from the actuator seat; wherein in a case that the centrifugal mechanism of the overspeed governor assembly rotates in a first direction corresponding to ascending of an elevator car, when the action end of the actuator moves to the extended position, the centrifugal mechanism of the overspeed governor assembly contacts the action end of the actuator and drives the actuator seat to rotate from the first position toward the second position, and the reset lever rotates with the actuator seat.

The actuator includes: a mandrel, the mandrel having a proximal end and a distal end, and the mandrel being driven to move from a contraction position toward an actuation position; a mandrel sleeve; and a shell, the shell defining a channel, wherein the actuator further includes at least one sliding member, and when the mandrel moves from the contraction position toward the actuation position, the at least one sliding member is located at a first radial position where the mandrel is joined to the mandrel sleeve, such that the mandrel sleeve can move along the channel together with the mandrel; and wherein at the actuation position, the at least one sliding member moves outward radially to a second radial position where the mandrel sleeve is joined to the shell, thus locking the mandrel sleeve.

A remote trigger apparatus includes: an actuator; and a pivoting member rotatable around an axis, wherein the actuator enables the pivoting member to rotate from an idle position to an operating position, in the idle position, the pivoting member keeps separate from a centrifugal mechanism of the governor component, in the operating position, the pivoting member is jointed to a contact part of the centrifugal mechanism of the governor component, and the pivoting member further rotates along with the centrifugal mechanism and radially pushes the contact part inward, so as to trigger the governor component. In the remote trigger apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, the pivoting member guides the centrifugal mechanism gradually and gently, thus avoiding direct impacts on the centrifugal mechanism of the governor component and problems caused by the direct impacts.

Method and system of reducing false actuation of safety brakes in elevator system

A method of avoiding unnecessary safety brake actuation in an elevator system. The method includes determining whether a true overspeed or overacceleration condition of an elevator car is present. The method also includes activating the electronic safety actuator if a true overspeed or overacceleration condition of the elevator car.

The present invention provides a remote trigger device, a speed limiter assembly having the same and an elevator. The remote trigger device for the speed limiter assembly comprises: an actuator; and a rotating component, the rotating component being capable of rotating around a rotating axis in a rotating plane, the rotating component being actuated by the actuator to rotate from an idle position to a working position. During rotation of the speed limiter assembly, at the idle position, the rotating component is kept separated from an over-speed locking mechanism of the speed limiter assembly, and at the working position, the rotating component toggles a trigger member of the over-speed locking mechanism of the speed limiter assembly to trigger the speed limiter assembly. The structure of the remote trigger device according to the present invention is compact and simple.

A fall arrest device comprises a casing with an entry hole for the wire rope, and an exit hole for the wire rope, and a clamping mechanism and an overspeed detector arranged inside the casing. The speed detection mechanism comprises a driven roller arranged to be driven by the wire rope. The driven roller has one or more selected areas to be detected by a sensor, and the device further comprises a motion indicator configured to receive a signal from the sensor when the sensor detects one of the selected areas. The motion indicator is configured to give different indications depending on whether or not the signal is received from the sensor, and such indications are detectable from outside the casing. Methods for operating such a fall arrest device and method for retrofitting fall arrest devices are also disclosed.
