The present invention is a cork removal tool and cork ejector. The big effort required is reduced by incorporating a battery powered reversible DC electric motor. It allows the extraction of the cork from a bottle and its ejection from the tool with a single hand, with minimal effort on the part of the user, holding the cork remover and bottle together to open the bottle and only the opener itself to eject the cork from the latter. Binding of the opener is avoided by a ratcheted nut assembly which in conjunction with a micro switch protects the opener from binding due to a wrongly pressed switch and allows the screw to penetrate the cork and to remove it from the bottle and then from the opener smoothly. The single hand operation enables operators who only have use of one hand to open a bottle of wine.

A mechanism including a first pair of races having a first pair of raceways and a first rolling element operable to roll between the first pair of raceways, wherein at least one of the first pair of raceways has a substantially variable curvature along at least a portion of a path of the first rolling element. A program product that determines a solution by adjusting the curvature of a first pair of raceways on opposite sides of a rolling element, at least one of the first pair of raceways having a substantially variable curvature along the contact points in the direction of the corresponding range of motion for the rolling element.

Disclosed is a corkscrew extraction of a cork from a neck of a bottle, including a body, a propping lever, an extraction screw for extraction of the cork, wherein the corkscrew is provided with an extension element of the extraction screw. An extraction method with two sub-phases of a cork from a neck of a bottle by continuous movement without interruptions is also disclosed.

A method for rapidly aging a beverage in dry conditions may include removing a cork covering from a bottle plugged with a cork, wherein the bottle houses a volume of the beverage; applying a spring return device to the cork to prevent the cork from pushing into the bottle during aging; placing the bottle into a bag and sealing the bag; placing the bagged bottle into a pressure vessel; pressurizing the pressure vessel and allowing the bagged bottle to age within the pressure vessel for a desired period of time; depressurizing the pressure vessel; and removing the bottle from the pressure vessel and from the bag.

A tool is provided in order to facilitate utilization by users in a wide variety of applications. By way of example, a multipurpose tool may include first and second handles configured for relative movement between a closed position and an open position. At least the first handle includes an axle extending thereacross. The multipurpose tool also includes one or more tool members rotatably mounted upon the axle and foldable into the first handle and first and second jaws rotatably connected to the first and second handles, respectively. At least the first jaw defines an opening through which the axle of the first handle extends. The multipurpose tool further includes a resilient member disposed at least partially within the opening in order to apply a bias force to the first jaw during rotation of the first jaw relative to the first handle.

A bottle opener having the shape of a human hand provides a handle and cap gripping component which is configured for removing a conventional bottle cap in a compressed fit upon a bottle. The configuration provides cap removal in a direction toward the user with less effort. The cap gripping component can be configured to removably engage the handle where a tool such as a golf divot tool can be stored within an interior of the handle.

A cork screw bottle lock is used to secure a cork within a bottle and to facilitate removal of the cork from the bottle using a screw on/off mechanism. A cork screw bottle lock may include a retainer configured to secure a cork onto a bottle by a screw-on attachment of the retainer to the bottle. A method may include adding contents to a bottle and sealing the bottle using a cork secured to the bottle using a cork screw bottle lock.

A lockable tool with a sliding scale release is formed with a frame and a tool coupled to the frame with a locking mechanism to lock the tool into an extended or retracted configuration. A release mechanism is attached to a scale on the side of the frame. The scale is coupled to the frame. The tool is constructed such that sliding the scale along a longitudinal axis of the frame automatically unlocks the tool from the extended or retracted configurations. The tool can open and/or close automatically. The tool, such as a knife, can swing open or extend out a front opening in the frame.
