Product comprising polysaccharide derivatives
The disclosure relates to products including a polysaccharide derivative wherein the polysaccharide derivative includes a polysaccharide substituted with at least one of: a) at least one sulfate group; b) at least one sulfonate group; c) at least one thiosulfate group; or d) a combination thereof; wherein the polysaccharide is poly alpha-1,3-glucan, poly alpha-1,6-glucan, poly alpha-1,3-1,6-glucan, or a mixture thereof; and the polysaccharide derivative has a degree of substitution of about 0.001 to about 3. The products can be useful as anti-deposition and/or anti-graying agents in laundry detergents, and in home care applications.
PHYTOGLYCOGEN NANOPARTICLES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF USING CORN
An industrially scalable process for producing substantially monodisperse compositions of phytoglycogen nanoparticles from phytoglycogen-containing plant materials is provided that avoids the use of chemical, enzymatic or thermo treatments that degrade the phytoglycogen material. Also provided are phytoglycogen nanoparticle compositions produced by these processes.
Dihydroxyalkyl substituted polygalactomannan, and methods for producing and using the same
Disclosed are compositions including dihydroxyalkyl substituted polygalactomannan, and the optional further substitution of such with cationic and/or hydrophobic moieties. Method of making such compositions is also disclosed as well as the use of such compositions in industrial applications, fabric laundering, and personal and household care.
Biocompatible Oil Herders and Methods of Use
Provided herein are oil herding agents, for example, a biocompatible non-ionic functionalized polysaccharide konjac glucomannan radiation-induced degraded konjac glucomannan. Also provided is a method for containing the spread of an oil spill on a water surface at a low water temperature utilizing the oil herding agent. In addition there is provided a method for preparing an oil herder, a radiation-induced degraded konjac glucomannan prepared by the method and a method for increasing a slick thickness ratio of an oil slick on a water surface utilizing the prepared oil herder.
Polymer of hyaluronate and of glucomannan
The present invention concerns a sphere, characterized in that it comprises at least one polymer of hyaluronate and glucomannan. It also concerns a polymer of hyaluronate and glucomannan characterized in that each bond between a hyaluronate group and a glucomannan group is an ester bond. In addition, it concerns their production process and their use, in particular as a filling or hydration agent.
POLYSACCHARIDE DERIVATIVES AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SAME
The disclosure relates to compositions comprising a polysaccharide derivative wherein the polysaccharide derivative comprises a polysaccharide substituted with a) at least one sulfate group; b) at least one sulfonate group; c) at least one thiosulfate group; or d) a combination thereof; wherein the polysaccharide is poly alpha-1,3-glucan, poly alpha-1,6-glucan, poly alpha-1,3-1,6-glucan, or a mixture thereof; and the polysaccharide derivative has a degree of substitution of about 0.001 to about 3. The compositions can be useful as anti-deposition and/or anti-graying agents in laundry detergents, and in home, personal care, and industrial applications.

POLYCATIONIC POLYSACCHARIDE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A polycationic polysaccharide and an application thereof is disclosed. Specifically, the polycationic polysaccharide consists of a polysaccharide and a polyamine compound, and is a positively charged polycationic polysaccharide obtained by reacting a polysaccharide with an amine-containing or polyamine compound. The polycationic polysaccharide is applied in a biomedical functional material of an antibacterial biofilm, a biomedical device, and an antibacterial functional material.
Growth enhancement of plant
Provided is a method to increase the growth of a plant by coating a seed of said plant with a composition comprising at least one of various cationic compounds; notably permitting to develop its biomass and reach its maturity. Provided also is a seed coating composition used in such a method.
Ready to Gel Konjac Flour
A method of making modified konjac glucomannan flour that acts a gelling agent. The method comprises mixing the flour with an alkali-alcohol solution for sufficient time and at sufficient temperature to deacetylate the glucomannan. The modified flour can then be recovered, neutralized, and milled to obtain modified konjac flour that acts a gelling agent. The gelling agent forms gels at high temperature when mixed with water and heated to above an activation temperature, and mixed for a period of time. The gels are useful in a variety of food products.
