Method for removing one or more of: coating, corrosion, salt from a surface
Embodiments of the present methods and solutions that operate to prepare a metal surface to be ready for coating or primer. The surface is operated on using mechanical or pressure impingement operation in conjunction with application of medium comprising dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) and water (DMEA diluted in water). Embodiments of the present invention can perform the wash or decontamination to leave a clean surface that provides excellent performance in durability and rust resistance after being coated or primed. Other cleaning chemicals if added may reduce the performance and interfere with the desired objective. Other surfaces are contemplated.
CLEANING METHOD, CLEANING DEVICE, CLEANING AGENT, AND PRELIMINARY CLEANING AGENT
A cleaning device 2 is for performing a preliminary cleaning step 110 to a cleaning step 120 of a cleaning method 100, and includes a preliminary cleaning tank 11 containing a preliminary cleaning agent LQ1, a cleaning tank 12 containing a cleaning agent LQ2, an outer container 21 containing the preliminary cleaning tank 11 and the cleaning tank 12, a temperature adjustment unit 30 for adjusting the temperature of water WT contained in the outer container 21, an ultrasonic unit 40 for applying an ultrasonic wave to the water WT, or to the preliminary cleaning agent LQ1 or the cleaning agent LQ2 through the preliminary cleaning tank 11 or the cleaning tank 12, and a controller 80 controlling each of the units.

Method of treating an apparatus to remove surface deposits
A method of treating an apparatus to remove surface deposits therefrom is performed by selecting a colloidal particle dispersion having inorganic nanoparticles with an average particle size of from 500 nm or less that exhibit properties of Brownian motion that facilitate penetration of solid deposits on surfaces of an apparatus that is subject to surface deposits from contact with fluids. The surfaces of the apparatus are contacted with a treatment composition comprising the colloidal particle dispersion. The composition is allowed to act upon the materials adhering to the surfaces of the apparatus to loosen and breakup the materials adhering to the surfaces of the apparatus. The loosened and broken materials are removed from the surfaces of the apparatus.
Systems For Etching A Substrate Using A Hybrid Wet Atomic Layer Etching Process
The present disclosure provides a system for etching an exposed material on a substrate disposed within a process chamber using a hybrid atomic layer etching (ALE) process that combines a gas-phase surface modification step with a liquid-phase dissolution step within the same process chamber. In the hybrid ALE process disclosed herein, a gas-phase reactant is used to modify an exposed surface of the material to create a modified surface layer, and one or more liquid-phase reactants are used to selectively dissolve the modified surface layer without dissolving the material underlying the modified surface layer. Once the modified surface layer is selectively dissolved, the substrate may be dried and the gas-phase surface modification and liquid-phase dissolution steps may be repeated for one or more ALE cycles until a desired amount of the material is etched.
