Anchoring System for a Traffic Barrier
A system and method for anchoring a traffic barrier to a road is disclosed. The traffic barrier has a footer and a wall extending inward and upward from the footer to a top surface. Anchor recesses intersect the footer. A footer port extends through the footer beneath the anchor recess. An insert having a head portion and probe is positioned in the anchor recess and footer port. An insert port extends through the head portion and probe in angular relation to the longitudinal centerline of the barrier. The insert port aligns a drill for drilling a subsurface hole at a predetermined angle extending beneath the traffic barrier. Epoxy is inserted into the hole and a threaded rod is inserted through the insert port to be adhered to the road by the epoxy. A threaded fastener is connected to the threaded rod above the insert.
ONE-PIECE PLASTIC Z-BASED FOUNDATION FOR GUARDRAILS, SOLAR PANEL ARRAYS AND OTHER STRUCTURES
A one-piece plastic z-based foundation suitable for guardrails, ground based solar panel arrays and other structures includes a longitudinally extending main body; a rear flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the main body in a first direction at a rear edge of the main body; a front flange extending at an angle from a longitudinal portion of the main body in a direction opposite the first direction at a front edge of the main body; an integral offset spacing plate coupled to a front edge of the main body above the front flange and extending laterally forward of the front flange; and a mounting flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the offset spacing plate at a front edge of the offset spacing plate, wherein the mounting flange is configured for mounting of a guardrail or other structure.
Vertical member for a vehicle restraint system
A vertical member for a vehicle restraint system is intended for attaching a guard rail of the vehicle restraint system. The vertical member includes a profiled support and a reinforcing support within the profiled support, and the longitudinal axis of the reinforcing support runs substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profiled support.
EMBANKMENT WALL STRUCTURE OF MONOLITHIC FACING PANELS, CHANGER PANELS, STANDARD FACING PANELS AND SAID PANELS THEREOF
The present invention provides an embankment wall structure (1000) comprising a plurality of facing panels (100) extending upwardly from a support surface and adapted to be stacked alongside in a horizontal as well as vertical direction. The plurality of facing panels (100) includes a plurality of monolithic facing panels (120), a plurality of first changer panels (140), a plurality of second changer panels (160), and a plurality of standard facing panels (180). Each monolithic facing panel (120) is stacked side by side with each first changer panel (140) at a desired stretch, and each second changer panel (160) is stacked adjacent to one monolithic facing panel (120) and opposite to one first changer panel (140), at a desired position in a top layer (200) of the wall (1000). Further, each of the uppermost standard facing panels (180) is in contact with either of the panels or combinations thereof.
ROADWAY SAFETY BARRIER
Road safety barrier comprising: concrete bottom parts (1); concrete top parts (2) coupled on the bottom parts (1), and attaching means (3, 31) of the successive top parts (2) at their opposite ends. The bottom parts (1) have an upper surface provided with a longitudinal channel (11) for coupling in the longitudinal direction and with the possibility of limited vertical displacement of a longitudinal extension (21) protruding from a lower surface of the top parts (2); the channel (11) and the extension (21) have similar cross-sections and dimensions calculated so that the top part performs a lateral rotation of a determined amplitude, in the event of a vehicle impact, and absorbs a significant part of its kinetic energy.
Post assembly
A post assembly for absorbing impact from a vehicle including a footing, an upright post and a hinge region to allow the post to plastically deform relative to the footing. The post is preferably fixed to a lever arm that is connected to the footing via the hinge region, the lever arm and post pivoting away from the footing under load, The lever arm, footing and hinge region are preferably formed from a common base plate. The invention also relates to barrier system that includes multiple post assemblies, and a barrier supported between respective posts of the assemblies.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INSTALLATION OF SUPPORT POSTS FOR A VEHICLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM
Disclosed is apparatus for installing a vehicle restraint at a desired location, the apparatus comprising a length of pre-fabricated a base unit locatable in or on the ground at the desired location, the base unit having a plurality of attachment positions at intervals for attachment thereto of at least one substantially vertical support post for supporting the vehicle restraint.
One-piece metal plate foundation with integral offset plate for guardrails and other structures and guardrail system utilizing same
A one-piece metal plate foundation suitable for guardrails and other structures includes a longitudinally extending main plate body; a rear flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the main plate body in a first direction at a rear edge of the main plate body; a front flange extending at an angle from a longitudinal portion of the main plate body in a direction opposite the first direction at a front edge of the main plate body; an integral offset spacing plate coupled to a front edge of the main plate body above the front flange and extending laterally forward of the front flange; and a mounting flange extending at an angle from at least a longitudinal portion of the offset spacing plate at a front edge of the offset spacing plate, wherein the mounting flange is configured for mounting of a guardrail.
Guard Rail System
A protective barrier includes a rigid upright member including a post, a fitting having a housing with a first outer surface and a first inner surface. The housing includes a first hole extending from the first outer surface to the first inner surface; a first end, a second end and an inner chamber defined by the inner surface of the housing and extending from the first end to the second end; the first end having a flange sized and shaped for attachment to an outer surface of the rigid upright; at least one support member disposed within the inner chamber and extending from the first end toward the second end of the housing, the support member including a second hole. The protective barrier also comprises a hollow rail including a third end sized and shaped for being received within the inner chamber, the hollow plastic rail including a third hole; and a fastener extending through the first hole, second hole and third hole such that the hollow plastic rail is secured to the fitting.
