Insulation with installation guide and apparatus and method for installing same
A fibrous insulation member, a mechanism for attaching the insulation member to a building structure, and a method for attaching the insulation member to a structure utilizing the mechanism. The insulation member including a fibrous insulation body having a first lateral surface, a second lateral surface spaced apart from the first lateral surface, and a face extending from the first lateral surface to the second lateral surface. The insulation member also including a facing having a first portion attached to the face and extending the width of the face, and a second portion extending beyond the first lateral surface, the second portion having a first thickness and including a first guide having a second thickness greater than the first thickness.
Composite insulation batt
A composite insulation batt is provided. The composite insulation batt includes a fiberglass insulation core within a sheath of closed cell plastic material and provides greatly increased insulating properties over conventional fiberglass insulation batts.
Thermal Radiant Barrier for Use in Roof Insulation
A thermal radiant barrier and methods of use are provided. The thermal radiant barrier includes a first elongated planar member and first and second walls projecting from opposite edges of the planar base. When in use, the thermal radiant base is affixed to the underside of roof decking with the first and second walls being affixed to the underside of the decking. An air passageway from the soffit vent along side the underside of the decking is created to permit the air to be channeled from the soffitt vent into the attic area alongside the decking. The temperature of the air is controlled by using material of an R-value recommended by the construction code of the region. The thermal radiant barrier may include a second elongated planar member hingeably connected to the first elongated planar member at an angle equal to the angel between the rafter and joist in a roofing structure. The second elongated member is positioned underlying Batt insulation in proximity to the soffitt vent and soffitt baffle. The second elongated member has an R-value recommended in the geographic location. In use, the R-value at an area of compressed insulation is given by the R-value of the second elongated member.

COMPOSITE INSULATION BATT
A composite insulation batt is provided. The composite insulation batt includes a fiberglass insulation core within a sheath of closed cell plastic material and provides greatly increased insulating properties over conventional fiberglass insulation batts.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR HOME INSULATION AND SELF-ADHESIVE THERMAL INSULATION PRODUCT
A self-adhesive thermal insulation product is provided. The self-adhesive thermal insulation product includes a fibrous polymeric backing, an adhesive layer, an insulation batt attached to the central adhesive portion, and a release layer. An adhesive tape for home insulation is also provided. The adhesive tape for home insulation includes a fibrous polymeric backing, an adhesive layer on a front surface of the fibrous polymeric backing, and a release layer. An adhesive seal is also provided.
Insulation batt
An insulation batt includes a first stiffening layer, a lever hingedly attached to a front panel of the first stiffening layer; an insulation layer coupled to the first stiffening layer; and a second stiffening layer defining an inner surface, the inner surface coupled to the insulation layer; and wherein the insulation batt is selectively reconfigurable about and between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration, a distance defined between the first stiffening layer and the second stiffening layer, the distance being greater in the expanded configuration than in the collapsed configuration, the lever engaging the inner surface of the second stiffening layer and holding the first stiffening layer and the second stiffening layer apart in the expanded configuration.
Element for thermal insulation
An element for thermal insulation between two building parts, including an insulating body to be arranged between the two building parts and reinforcement elements in the form of at least tensile elements, extending in the installed state of the element essentially horizontally and perpendicularly to the essentially horizontal extension of the insulating body through said body, and respectively projecting in the horizontal direction from the insulating body and here allowing a connection to one of the two building parts preferably made from concrete. The tensile reinforcement elements are formed as multi-part composite elements such that at least in the area of the insulating body they exhibit a central section projecting from the insulating body and at least partially being made from fiber-reinforced synthetic material. The tensile reinforcement elements have in an area outside the insulating body at least one anchoring section with geometric and/or material characteristics at least partially deviating from the central section, with the anchoring section being connected to the central section in a connection area. The connection area is arranged distanced from the insulating body. The central section is made from a cylindrical rod-shaped and/or tubular material and is provided on its radial exterior, at least in an area between the insulating body and the connection area, with an essentially smooth wall.
