STEPLADDER WITH STABILIZER
20230049761 · 2023-02-16 ·

A stepladder accessory that allows a stepladder to be configured for use on a stairway or inclined surface. The accessory is a stabilizer that is adapted for removable mounting to a stepladder. The stabilizer includes securement means, mounting structure, and a telescoping support structure. The securement means and mounting structure can be integrated.

LADDER STABILIZER

A ladder stabilizer for step ladders and extension ladders. The ladder stabilizer is collapsible for storage. Additionally, the ladder stabilizer includes legs that are adjustable in length and pivotally secured to a rigid lateral support. The rigid lateral support also carries a step plate secured by a hinge to the lateral support. The step plate provides the point of engagement between the ladder stabilizer and a rung of the ladder.

The invention is directed to a device that allows a user to enter and exit a bathtub or other apparatus with a relatively high sidewall safely and easily. Particularly, the device comprises first and second sides that can be positioned on either surface of a bathtub sidewall. The first and second sides each include one or more braces that support a plurality of steps that enable a user to climb up one side of the device and down the other. The device can include one or more stabilizers that are sized and shaped to allow a user to securely grab onto as they advance up or down the steps, thereby maintaining balance. Advantageously, the first side can be rotated up and above the second side using hinges or any other rotatable element.

Ladder with Adjustable Lateral Supports
20220381088 · 2022-12-01 ·

A ladder stabilization apparatus and ladder comprising the same, the apparatus including a translatable securing member configured to translate along a translation axis and first and second translatable legs. Translation of the translatable securing member along the translation axis causes rotation of the first translatable leg about a first rotational axis and rotation of the second translatable leg about a second rotational axis.

Ladder stabilizer and leveler

A ladder stabilizer comprises a pair of stabilizer brackets attached to the ladder side rails at the bottom on either side. Each bracket has a C-shaped clamping mechanism that utilizes a toothed gear rack which engages/disengages with mating teeth of a corresponding gear rack on the ladder rail. The gear-like engagement of the teeth provides a positive locking of the attachment member to the ladder. A spring and locking screw allow ease of adjustment and a positive lock at the desired location along the ladder side rail. The rack is attached longitudinally along the length of each rail to provide a range of length adjustment to the feet. This permits one side to be longer than the other to accommodate a laterally sloping terrain. The brackets have rotatable, laterally extending A-frames with ground-engaging feet which self-adjust to a terrain which is sloping from front-to-back or vice versa.

Modular ladder with central mast
11613928 · 2023-03-28 ·

A modular ladder having a single, central column for supporting radiating steps is shown and described. Steps are pivotally mounted on the central column to generate attachable modules. The steps fold up to a stowed position to minimize bulk when the ladder is not in use, and fold down to a nearly but not quite perpendicular position to facilitate climbing. The steps are held frictionally in the stowed position and by gravity in a deployed position when nearly perpendicular to the central mast. The ladder has a removable foot module for stability when propping the ladder on the ground. Each module bearing steps includes an integral loop for attachment of anchoring straps when desired.

RELATION TO LADDER STABILISATION

A ladder stabilizer where respective ladder rails 12 and 13 pass through rail clamp sections 14 and 15 so that the feet 16 and 17 of the ladder engage the ground. The stabilizer has feet 18 and 19 which also engage the ground. These are at the end of a rail providing respective outriggers 20 and 21 so that the stabilizing forces and moments are across the bottom of the ladder. Clamps make the whole stabilizer and ladder rigid. Rails 12 and 13 are clamped in the clamp sections 14 and 15 which are in turn clamped along the outriggers, the feet are also clamped in height adjustable position. Hand operable screw clamps 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 permit adjustment so that the legs and rails and clamp sections may be positioned to best stabilize the ladder 11.

LADDERS, FOOT MECHANISMS FOR LADDERS, AND RELATED METHODS

Various embodiments of ladders, ladder legs, ladder feet, foot mechanisms for ladders, and related methods are provided herein. In one embodiment, a foot is pivotal relative to a leg or rail of the ladder between a first position and at least a second position. A biasing force is applied to the foot to maintain the foot in either of the user-selected positions until a force is applied to pivot the foot to another position. In one embodiment, the foot mechanism maintaining the foot at a desired position may include a pair of pins that couple the foot to another component (e.g., a housing member, an insert member or a rail of the ladder). At least one of the two pins may be displaceable relative to the other pin during pivoting of the foot.
