Control device and method of sectors for the assembly of the turbine stators of a turbine
A control device controls sectors for the assembly of turbine stators of a turbine. Each turbine stator is formed of an assembly of sectors juxtaposed to one another, and each sector has a reference. The control device includes an automated system for identifying the sector with means for reading the sector reference, a database of the references of the sectors that form the turbine stators of the turbine, and means for associating the read reference of the sector with a determined turbine stator of the turbine.
Methods and systems for wire electric discharge machining and validation of parts
A tool for validating a wire-electric-discharge-machining (wEDM) operation to be performed using a wEDM machine comprises a body including an engagement feature shaped to removably hold a validation coupon to be machined in the wEDM operation, the validation coupon sized larger than a size of a cut-out to be made in a part using the wEDM machine. A method of manufacturing the tool and a wEDM machine assembly are also provided.
Fan module
A fan module including a body and a plurality of blades is provided. The body has a rotating axis and the body is telescopic along the rotating axis to have an elongated state and a shortened state. The blades are respectively disposed on the body and rotate along with the body along the rotating axis. At least a portion of each blade is flexible and a bending state of each blade is changed along with the elongated state or the shortened state of the body. An axial size of each blade along the rotating axis when the body is in the elongated state is greater than the axial size of each blade along the rotating axis when the body is in the shortened state.

This exit seal is for connecting an exit flange of a combustor and a shroud in a stator blade of a turbine. The exit seal is equipped with: a seal body that extends in a circumferential direction; and a lid member disposed at a circumferential end of the seal body. The seal body comprises one or more recessed sections that are recessed in a radial direction or in an axial direction and extend in the circumferential direction. At a position of the circumferential end of at least one recessed section among the one or more recessed sections, the lid member is disposed so as to overlap, in the axial direction and the radial direction, with a recessed space formed by the one recessed section.

A turbine and a turbine-generator device for use in electricity generation. The turbine has a universal design and so may be relatively easily modified for use in connection with generators having a rated power output in the range of 50 KW to 5 MW. Such modifications are achieved, in part, through use of a modular turbine cartridge built up of discrete rotor and stator plates sized for the desired application with turbine brush seals chosen to accommodate radial rotor movements from the supported generator. The cartridge may be installed and removed from the turbine relatively easily for maintenance or rebuilding. The rotor housing is designed to be relatively easily machined to dimensions that meet desired operating parameters.

The seal assembly includes a rotating seal land and a stationary seal element. The rotating seal land is mounted onto the rotating coupler. The stationary seal element sealingly engages the rotating seal land.
