LIGHTWEIGHT FASTENER WITH THREADED WIRE NUT
A lightweight fastener includes a threaded body with at least one torque support, a housing, which receives the threaded body at least in part, and a counter support for at least one torque support. In accordance with the invention a wire nut or threaded wire nut is used as thread body. A lightweight fastener of this type is used in clips or inserts, i.e. fastening elements that are used in particular in the interior design of vehicles and aircraft.
Connection device
A connection device between a first member and a second member that includes a flexible male configuration disposed on the first member, the male configuration includes a finger extension that has a necked portion and an expanded terminating head portion. Also included is a flexible female configuration disposed on the second member, the female configuration includes a cavity having a narrow duct portion that expands into a chamber portion. The male and female configurations are removably engageable to one another, as the expanded head portion is manually pushed into the narrow duct portion and continuing further to manually push the expanded head portion into the chamber portion until the expanded head portion bottoms out into the chamber portion resulting in the first and second members being in a substantially fluid tight connection to one another.
Automatic Greaser Retainer
A retaining system provides stability to an automatic greater when attached to a wheel hub. The system includes a hub assembly having a hub base and body, an automatic greater affixed to the hub body, and a retainer having a metal body. The metal body includes pair of wing grips connected by a bridge section. Prongs extend from each wing grip and terminate at first and second ends. Retainer tips extend from each end toward opposing prongs. When in an engaged configuration, the metal body of the retainer may simultaneously engage an interior surface of the automatic greater and an outer surface of the hub body so that the automatic greater is secure and removably affixable from the hub body. To secure the retainer to the hub body, the pair of tips are positioned within a pair of orifices located on the outer surface of hub body.
Attachment of composite lug to composite structural tube
A landing gear system includes a composite tube. The composite tube comprises at least one of (i) a filament wound composite tube, (ii) a filament braided tube, and (iii) a composite tube of laid up filament. The landing gear system further comprises a first lug cluster mounted to the composite tube and a second lug cluster mounted to the composite tube. The first lug cluster and the second lug cluster are oriented at an angle to one another.
Cable restraint and method of securing a cable
A cable restraint has: a first arm, having a first proximal end, a first distal end, and a first gripping portion located at the first distal end; a second arm, having a second proximal end, a second distal end and a second gripping portion located at the second distal end; wherein: the first proximal end is joined to the second proximal end, and the cable restraint is movable between: an open configuration in which the first gripping portion and the second gripping portion are spaced from each other to define a gap into which a cable may be inserted, and a closed configuration in which the first gripping port and the second gripping portion cooperate with each other to define a cable restraint channel.
Clip for fastening a first element to a second element and device with a clip of this kind
Disclosed is a clip for fastening a first element to a second element, wherein the clip has a head, a tip, a first clip side, and a second clip side. The first clip side extends from the head along a longitudinal axis in the direction of the tip, and the second clip side extends from the head along the longitudinal axis in the direction of the tip and has a clip surface protruding from the first clip side. The clip surface can be moved, under the tension of a spring, from a first position into a position located closer to the longitudinal axis than the first position. The head surface merges into a first side wall via a first bending section which is bent around a first bending axis, wherein the first bending axis is at an angle of >0° to <180° to the longitudinal axis.
Aircraft assembly
An aircraft assembly includes a first body connected to a second body via a flexible coupling that limits separation of the bearing faces while permitting relative rotational movement between the bodies. The flexible coupling includes one or more first flexible straps attached to the first side of the first body and attached to the second side of the second body, and one or more second flexible straps attached to the second side of the first body and attached to the first side of the second body. The bearing faces include planar central portions to react compressive loads while the parts are aligned, and convex outer rolling surfaces to react loads during rotational movement between the bodies, such that a point of contact between the first body and the second body moves along curves of the respective curved end regions during the rotational movement between the bodies.
BONDING CLIPS
Bonding clips used to electrically bond metal structures are provided. The bonding clips include an electrically conductive body, an electrically conductive first leg, an electrically conductive second leg and an electrically conductive mounting member. The first leg has one or more piercing members extending from the first leg in a first direction. The second leg has one or more piercing embers extending from the second leg in a first direction. The one or more piercing members are provided to penetrate protective coatings on metal structures so that the one or more piercing members contact the underlying metal.
Automatically Adjustable Connection Structure
An automatically adjustable connection structure contains: a fixing member, a movable member, a limitation plate, and a limiting element. The fixing member includes a vertical sheet and a horizontal sheet having two guiding protrusions and an elongated orifice. The movable member is fixed on the horizontal sheet and includes a top piece and two peripheral pieces, the top piece has a hole corresponding to the elongated orifice, and each of the two peripheral pieces has each of two cutouts, wherein among the two cutouts and the horizontal sheet is defined a clamping space. The limitation plate inserts through the hole and the elongated orifice, wherein the movable member engages with and removes from the fixing member, such that the movable member adjustably slides relative to the fixing member via the elongated orifice of the horizontal sheet.
FASTENING DEVICE
A fastening device (1) is adapted to fasten a recessed object (30) to a wall. The object has at least one through hole (20) and includes a rod (2), a bracket (3), and a locking element (4). Systems also include at least one fastening device (1) and a recessed object and procedures for the installation of the systems.
