Retainer for segmented annular heat shield
A wheel assembly includes an inboard wheel portion having a rim and a disk. A radially inward surface of the rim and an inboard surface of the disk define a wheel well cavity configured to house a brake assembly. The wheel assembly also includes a torque bar (e.g., a torque bar of the brake assembly) mounted to the inboard wheel portion. Further, the wheel assembly includes a retainer coupled to the torque bar and disposed radially between the torque bar and the radially inward surface of the rim of the inboard wheel portion. The retainer includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a body extending between the first end and the second end. The body includes opposing longitudinal sides configured to respectively engage and retain a respective heat shield segment of a segmented annular heat shield.
Multi-part brake rotor
A brake rotor, includes at least one friction element and one adapter element, wherein the brake rotor is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation, wherein the friction element has at least one friction surface and one connection region, wherein the adapter element has an installation region and a transfer region, wherein the installation region is configured for fixing the brake rotor to a hub, wherein the connection region indirectly or directly engages in positively locking fashion in a circumferential direction with the transfer region such that a torque about the axis of rotation can be transferred between the connection region and the transfer region from the friction element to the adapter element.

Magnetic Yoke Iron Core And Brake
The disclosure provides a magnetic yoke iron core and a brake including a magnetic yoke iron core, a first movable plate, a plurality of friction disks, at least one second movable plate, a coil, an armature and an elastic part; the first movable plate is located in a first mounting space and close to a first shaft end; a plurality of friction disks are sequentially arranged in the first mounting space along an axial direction of the magnetic yoke iron core and located at a side of the first movable plate close to a second shaft end; the coil is arranged in a second mounting space; the armature is connected with the first movable plate through a connector; the second movable plate is connected with the connector; and the elastic part having a pre-tightening force which enables the armature to be far away from the magnetic yoke iron core.
Brake
The disclosure provides a brake including a magnetic yoke iron core, a movable plate, a friction disk, a coil, an armature and an elastic part; a first mounting space penetrates through a center position of the magnetic yoke iron core in the axial direction; an opening of a second mounting space faces a second shaft end; the movable plate is located in the first mounting space and close to a first shaft end; the friction disk is arranged in the first mounting space and located at a side of the movable plate close to the second shaft end; the coil is arranged in the second mounting groove; the armature is located at the second shaft end, and the armature is connected with the movable plate through a connector; and the elastic part has pre-tightening force that enables the armature to be far away from the magnetic yoke iron core.
Brake disc
Described is a brake disc, rotating about its own axis of rotation, including a brake strip, an element for supporting the brake strip and a plurality of first elements for connecting the brake strip with the supporting element which can be elastically deformed in such a way as to allow a relative movement of the brake strip with respect to the supporting element. The supporting element includes at least a first component and a second component connected to the brake strip by means of the first connecting elements. A plurality of second connecting elements of the first component and of the second component are elastically deformable in such a way as to allow a relative movement between the first component and the second component.
Torque bar and methods for making
A torque bar manufactured by an additive manufacturing process is provided. The torque bar may include a torque bar body made of more than one metallic material. The torque bar may also include a geometry that comprises one or more voids and one or more webs, as well as a varied geometry in the direction of a longitudinal axis. The torque bars can exhibit characteristics, such as vibration damping, tuned stiffness, and tuned bending resistance in order to enhance dynamic stability.

An electromagnetic brake (10) including a plurality of elastic members (25) which are arranged between an engagement surface of a brake pad (13) and an engagement surface of a hub (12) symmetrically about a center of rotation of the shaft (11). The biasing directions of the plurality of elastic members are in a rotational direction of the shaft.
Rotor drive key assembly
In some examples, an assembly includes a vehicle wheel that defines an interior and an exterior surface, where the interior surface defines a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first protrusion defines a first aperture extending in a substantially axial direction. The assembly further includes a rotor drive key on the interior surface, the drive key defining a first and second feature, and the first feature defines a second aperture extending in the substantially axial direction and is configured to align with the first aperture. The assembly includes a fastener configured to be inserted through the first and second aperture in the substantially axial direction to attach the key to the interior surface of the wheel, where the second aperture is configured to form a threaded connection with an end of the fastener. When the fastener is tightened via the threaded connection, the second feature engages the second protrusion.
