A drive shaft extends from the end wall along the axis away from the second end. The housing body has an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface defines a guide channel that extends between the first end and the second end. The outer surface has a first region extending axially along a direction from the first end toward the second end to a shoulder that extends radially outwardly from the first region. The outer surface has a second region extending axially from the shoulder toward the second end. A ring has an inner surface disposed in an interference fit on first region and an outer surface extending radially outwardly from the second region.

TRIPOD TYPE CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT

A constant velocity joint comprises a male element having arms, a female element having a central axis and defining a pair of symmetrical tracks and an outer roller which can roll on one or other of the two tracks via a peripheral rolling surface. The female element comprises at least one bearing surface which limits the rotation of the outer roller around an axis perpendicular to the axis' of the female element and of the arm. With respect to each arm the cross-section profile of each track comprises either two circular arcs having centers of radii offset one from another, or one single circular arc extending over a female element median plane, and the rolling surface has a part spherical shape or a part torical shape. Each track and the rolling surface are capable of contacting each other at a first and second contact points spaced radially from one another. The tilting of the roller is controlled by proximal and distal rails on the female element and by proximal and distal breaking surfaces on the outer roller.

Constant velocity joint

In a lateral cross section passing through a center of a trunnion in the form of a retaining member that constitutes part of a constant velocity joint, and an orthogonal site where a virtual tangent line at a contact region is perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of a guide groove, a curved surface having a first arcuate portion and a second arcuate portion is formed. The second arcuate portion is contiguous with the first arcuate portion, and has a smaller radius of curvature than the first arcuate portion. Further, the first arcuate portion and the second arcuate portion are arranged in this order from a side in proximity to an annular member of the trunnion.

POWER TRANSMISSION MECHANISM AND VEHICLE

A power transmission mechanism (2) includes left and right drive shafts (3L, 3R) that transmit rotational torque from a drive source to drive wheels provided on left and right sides of a vehicle. In the right drive shaft (3R) and the left drive shaft (3L), the numbers of rolling elements (23, 33) included in plunging type constant velocity universal joints (6L, 6R) are different from each other.

Needle retainer for constant velocity joint and method of determining trunnion shape

A constant velocity joint includes a trunnion extending radially outwardly about a trunnion axis. The joint also includes a ball surrounding the trunnion and rotatable relative thereto about a plurality of needle rollers. The joint further includes a retainer that is a single, unitary structure coupled to the trunnion and positioned to limit movement of the ball and the needle rollers in a direction parallel to the trunnion axis.

PHOTOVOLTAIC TRACKER DRIVELINE JOINT

A driveline joint may include a driveline shaft that has a plurality of slots and a shaft coupling positioned in an interior of the driveline shaft in which the shaft coupling includes one or more openings with each of the openings corresponding to one or more respective slots of the plurality of slots included in the driveline shaft. The driveline joint may include one or more spherical bearings that are each positioned between an interior lateral surface of the driveline shaft and an exterior lateral surface of the shaft coupling and against one of the openings of the shaft coupling. The driveline joint may include one or more fasteners, wherein each of the fasteners extends through one of the slots and one of the openings of the shaft coupling.

The present disclosure is concerned with a personal care device having a head portion having a driven treatment head, a handle portion having a drive unit for providing a motion having a motion direction, and a drive train extending between the drive unit and the driven treatment head for transmitting the motion from the drive unit to the driven treatment head, the drive train having a separable coupling. The separable coupling has a first coupling part having a first coupling element, a second coupling part having a second coupling element, the first and the second coupling elements being separably engaged with each other, and a resilient element biasing the first coupling element and the second coupling element against each other so that the first and second coupling elements are engaged in a gap-free manner along the motion direction.

TRIPOD JOINT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

A tripod joint includes a multi-part pot having an interior and a plurality of raceways for supporting a plurality of rollers in the interior. The pot includes a housing having an open end and a base at the end of the housing opposite the open end, and the base may be formed separately from the housing or one-piece therewith. The raceways may be formed by inserts mounted in the interior which inserts may have a hardness greater than a hardness of the material of the housing.
