The shim includes a base leg and opposing upper and lower legs extending from the base leg to define a receiving space. At least one of the upper and lower legs includes a retaining member extending in a first direction. A spring is provided in the receiving space for receiving the brake pad. The spring includes a base and a pair of projections extending from the base. At least one of the projections includes a retaining member that cooperates with the at least one retaining member on the shim to allow for a predetermined amount of relative movement between the shim and the spring in the first direction.
Brake lining for railway vehicle, disc brake system for railway vehicle including same, and sintered friction material to be used for brake lining for railway vehicle
There is provided a brake lining for a railway vehicle that can reduce brake squeal in braking. A brake lining for a railway vehicle is used for a disc brake system of a railway vehicle. This brake lining includes a base plate, a sintered friction material, and a friction material supporting mechanism. The friction material supporting mechanism is disposed between the base plate and the sintered friction material and supports the sintered friction material in such a manner that the sintered friction material can move with respect to the base plate. The sintered friction material has a Young's modulus of 35.0 GPa or more.
BRAKE PAD SPRING AND DISK BRAKE SYSTEM
The invention relates to a brake pad spring (1) for at least one brake pad (2), in particular for two brake pads, wherein the brake bad spring (1) comprises, for each of the at least one brake pad (2), two opposing walls (9, 10), configured for receiving a portion of a backplate (3) of the respective brake pad (2) therebetween, and for guiding the respective brake pad (2) between a non-braking position (A) in which the respective brake pad (2) is located at a first section (S1) of the opposing walls (9, 10), and a braking position (B) in which the brake pad (2) is located at a second section (S2) of the opposing walls (9, 10). At least a portion of at least one of the two opposing walls (9,10) is elastically movable and the two opposing walls (9, 10), at least sectionally, have a non-vanishing angle with respect to each other, a distance between the two opposing walls (9, 10) diminishing from the first section (S1) towards the second section (S2), in order to create a return spring effect for the respective brake pad (2), from the braking position (B) towards the non-braking position (A). The invention also relates to a disk brake system, comprising a brake disk (5) and a brake pad spring (1) which is mounted on a carrier (7).
BLANK OPTIMIZED BRAKE SLIDE CLIP WITH ACTIVE RETRACTION ELEMENT
A brake assembly slide clip includes a base section. A clamping portion extends from the base section and includes a base clamping section, an inner axial holding tab and an outer axial holding tab which extend from opposed sides of from the base clamping section. A lower section extends from the base section. A tangential section extends from a second side of the lower section. An active retraction element extends from the tangential section and provides a surface against which the brake pad is disposed. The active retraction element includes a plurality of curved portions each being curved in a single direction. The active retraction element is movable in a first axial direction responsive to a brake pad force against the retraction element surface, and resiliently returns following removal of the force so as to move the brake pad in a second axial direction opposite the first axial direction.
BRAKE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A brake apparatus for a vehicle according to the present disclosure includes a torque member configured to surround a brake disk, a pair of brake pads disposed in the torque member in a way to face each other, and a plurality of return parts mounted on the pair of brake pads, respectively, coupled with the torque member, and configured to guide movements of the brake pads and return the brake pads to their original positions by elastic restoring forces thereof.
Brake device for a motor vehicle with a reset device
Brake apparatus for a motor vehicle with a restoring apparatus, comprising a brake support body, a brake lining, a restoring apparatus for the brake lining, and a wear compensation means, the restoring apparatus being connected via the wear compensation means to the brake lining, the restoring apparatus having a lever arm which comprises a spring section, a supporting bearing and a lever bearing, the lever bearing being arranged between the spring section and the supporting bearing.
DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SENSOR ASSEMBLY ATTACHED TO A RETRACTION SPRING
A disc brake assembly that includes at least one brake pad retraction spring and a sensor assembly. The brake pad retraction spring extends between a pair of brake pad assemblies. The sensor assembly includes at least one sensor and a wire harness. The sensor is disposed on a brake pad assembly. The wire harness is attached to the brake pad retraction spring.
PAD SPRING AND CALIPER BRAKE HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed are a pad spring and a caliper brake having the same. The pad spring, which is installed on a coupling projection protruding from a carrier to slidably support a pair of pad plates, includes a first return part formed to extend downwardly from an upper side of the pad spring to elastically support and return the pad plate to its original position, and a second return part spaced apart from the first return part by a predetermined distance and provided at a position where the first return part is elastically deformed depending on an operation of the pad plate, wherein when the first return part is elastically deformed, the second return part comes into contact with the first return part to be elastically deformed together with the first return part and apply an elastic restoring force to the pad plate.
