GASKET
The present invention addresses the problem of enabling an amount of compression of a bead part to be ensured and sealing properties to be improved in a gasket that is supported on one side with a bolt hole provided only on one side of the bead part. A gasket (1) is provided that has an opening (103) to be sealed, a bead part (12) provided along a circumference of the opening (103), and a bolt hole arranged on one side of the bead part (12). The gasket (1) is arranged between a case (101) and a cover (102) and is fastened with a bolt to seal the opening (103) while being supported on one side by the bolt (200). A height adjusting part (14) is provided in a side edge portion (1a) that is located on the opposite side of the bolt hole from the bead part (12). The height adjusting part (14) regulates a gap between the case (101) and the cover (102) during fastening with the bolt and serves as a fulcrum to press the cover (102) into contact with the bead part (12).
Multi-layered metal sheet
A multi-layered metal sheet is disclosed formed of a laminate of a plurality of metal sheets fixed to each other by a clinch formed in a concave shape from one main surface toward another main surface, the clinch has an schematic pillar shape, the clinch being defined by an open top, a pair of cut surfaces which are respectively formed from the open top toward a bottom, a pair of inclined surfaces respectively inclined from the open top toward the bottom, transitional surfaces which connect the cut surfaces and the inclined surfaces to each other, and the bottom having overlapping parts which extend over the main surface of the multi-layered metal sheet on a lower side immediately below the cut surfaces, and lengthwise end portions of a cut formed in each of upper edge portions of the cut surfaces are disposed on upper edge portions of the transitional surfaces.
GASKET HAVING UPPER AND LOWER ACTIVE LAYERS AND A SPACER LAYER
A gasket (20) is provided with a uniform thickness spacer layer (66) between two metal upper active layers (78, 80) and two lower active layers (82,84). Each of the layers has aligned openings. A first tab (158, 140) is formed from one of the upper active layers and is located in a first slot (168) in the spacer layer. A second tab (132, 150) is formed in a flange of one of the upper active layers and is located in a second slot (174) located in the spacer layer. A third tab (190, 208) is formed from one of the lower active layers and is located in a third slot (212) located in the spacer layer. A fourth tab (176, 194) is formed in a flange of one of the lower active layers and is located in a fourth slot (218) located in the spacer layer.
Flat gasket
The invention relates to a flat seal such as those that are used in motor vehicle construction in particular. Such flat seals can be used for example as seals in the exhaust tract of internal combustion engines, as cylinder head gaskets, or also as hydraulic system control plates. Hydraulic system control plates, such as transmission control plates for example, always have a sealing function in addition to a fluid control function simultaneously.
BEAD GASKET
A bead gasket for sealing off a gap between a first component and a second component, the bead gasket including: a first gasket layer including a holding element; a second gasket layer comprising a complementary holding element; and one or more folding portions which connect(s) the first gasket layer and the second gasket layer, wherein the first gasket layer, the second gasket layer and the respective folding portion are formed in one piece, and the gasket layers are or can be folded one onto the other by folding over the respective folding portion, such that they face each other in an axial direction, and wherein the holding element and the complementary holding element are in or can be moved into a holding engagement with each other based on a positive fit and/or frictional fit, in order to secure the gasket layers against diverging from each other.
Gasket and grommet installation assembly
A gasket assembly includes a gasket body, an adhesive-backed film, and a plurality of grommets. The gasket body includes a first face, and the adhesive-backed film includes a sticky face bonded to the first face of the gasket body. The grommets are bonded to the sticky face of the adhesive-backed film.
Roots pump having a seal member with first and second projections
A housing unit of a Roots pump includes a rotor housing, which includes a peripheral wall, and a cover member, which closes an opening of the rotor housing. At least one of a mating surface of the peripheral wall or a mating surface of the cover member includes an annular first groove accommodating a seal member. The rotor housing includes a bulging portion including a second groove. The seal member incudes first projections, which project from an annular seal body, and a second projection, which projects further radially inward from the seal body than the first projections. Each first projection includes a distal end that contacts a side surface on a radially inner side or on a radially outer side of the first groove. The second projection is arranged in the second groove to determine the position of the seal body in the first groove.
SEALING SYSTEM AND MOTOR VEHICLE COMPONENT COMPRISING SAID SEALING SYSTEM
In order to improve a sealing system, particularly for sealing against hot gas, it is proposed that it comprise a sealing element or a plurality of sealing elements and a support device for the sealing element or for the sealing elements, wherein the sealing system is constructed such that the one or at least one sealing element is arranged on the support device with play in at least one sealing state of the sealing system.
ROOTS PUMP
A housing unit of a Roots pump includes a rotor housing, which includes a peripheral wall, and a cover member, which closes an opening of the rotor housing. At least one of a mating surface of the peripheral wall or a mating surface of the cover member includes an annular first groove accommodating a seal member. The rotor housing includes a bulging portion including a second groove. The seal member incudes first projections, which project from an annular seal body, and a second projection, which projects further radially inward from the seal body than the first projections. Each first projection includes a distal end that contacts a side surface on a radially inner side or on a radially outer side of the first groove. The second projection is arranged in the second groove to determine the position of the seal body in the first groove.
GASKET
A gasket has a gasket member including a metal sheet and rubber layers put over both faces of the metal sheet. The gasket member includes a seal bead, at least one insertion hole, and at least one dummy bead. The seal bead is a part protruding from a lower face of the gasket member side toward an upper face of the gasket member side. The insertion hole is a through hole into which a fastener is inserted. The dummy bead is a part protruding from the lower face of the gasket member side toward the upper face of the gasket member side. The dummy bead extends around the insertion hole. A resonance frequency of the gasket member is adjusted by a length of the dummy bead in a direction of extension.
