Distributor, heat exchanger unit and air conditioner
An air conditioner including a distributor configured to distribute a fluid to a heat exchanger. The distributor comprises a main pipe; a partition defining a plurality of distribution paths in the main pipe; a first branched pipe inserted into the main pipe as much as first length, linked to a first distribution path of the plurality of distribution paths, connected to a first portion of the heat exchanger; and a second branched pipe inserted into the main pipe as much as second length different from the first length, linked to the first distribution path, connected to a second portion of the heat exchanger. A flow velocity of air exchanging heat at the first portion of the heat exchanger is faster than a flow velocity of air exchanging heat at the second portion of the heat exchanger. The first length is shorter than the second length.
HIGH RELIABILITY, MICROCHANNEL HEAT PIPE ARRAY FOR IMPROVED EFFICIENCY, SIMPLIFIED CHARGING/DISCHARGING AND LOW-COST MANUFACTURE
Systems and method for providing a micro-channel array are provided. In some embodiments, a micro-channel array includes a plurality of micro-channels having a first end and a second end; where at least one of the first end and the second end allows fluid connectivity between the plurality of micro-channels. In some embodiments, the micro-channel array includes external manifolding for fluid connectivity between the plurality of micro-channels. In some embodiments, the micro-channel array includes internal manifolding for fluid connectivity between the plurality of micro-channels. This may solve one of the largest causes of low yields and poor performance consistency in the production process while at the same time simplifying production and reducing production costs.

HEAT EXCHANGER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat transfer tubes housed in a predetermined case, a connecting tube body for connecting the plurality of heat transfer tubes, a predetermined tube expansion portion provided on each heat transfer tube, a first peripheral wall portion provided on the tube expansion portion, and a second peripheral wall portion that is positioned on an end portion of the connecting tube body and fitted to the tube expansion portion, wherein the first and second peripheral wall portions have different sectional shapes and are fitted together in a partial contact state including predetermined contact and non-contact portions. According to this configuration, the heat transfer tubes can be fixed to a side wall portion of the case and the connecting tube body can be connected to the heat transfer tubes easily and appropriately.
Flow baffles for shell and tube heat exchangers
An axial flow baffle for a shell and tube heat exchanger includes a substantially planar body configured for transverse arrangement in a longitudinally elongated shell of the shell and tube heat exchanger, a plurality of axial flow tube apertures each comprising a central tube hole configured to receive a tube of the heat exchanger, and an array of peripheral primary flow holes circumferentially spaced apart around the tube hole. The primary flow holes each interrupt the central tube hole and formed a radially inward projecting tube support protrusions between the primary flow holes which engage a single tube. Each primary flow hole has a non-polygonal configuration, which may be semicircular in some embodiments. The primary flow holes create axial flow around the periphery of the tubes through the baffles. In another aspect, a hybrid cross-flow baffle includes a combination of axial flow tube apertures and circular tube support holes.
