A container and method for taking out contained product. The container comprises a container body, a pressure transfer channel, a control valve, a liquid taking channel and an outflow channel, the control valve contains a moving part. The moving part is at different positions along with variation of pressure applied to a variable pressure part, and connection and disconnection of the channels which between the pressure transfer channel and the outflow channel and between the liquid taking channel and the pressure transfer channel are determined by three positions of the moving part. The container can quantitatively take out contained product, is simple in structure and avoid the product to be oxidized or polluted.

A plunger has an upper chamber seal, an upper seal and a lower seal, and an actuator moves the plunger between first, second and third plunger positions to dispense a measured drink additive in the measurement chamber into the container. The plunger has a central filler port to receive drink additive and an aperture in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The actuator includes a closure member closing the filler port and manually movable to move the plunger. A lock member is movable between locked and unlocked positions, and in the locked position prevents movement of the plunger from the first to the second plunger position.

In order to avoid impairments of products which are sensitive to crystallizing out in the inoperative state, the metering chamber is operated in continuous flow in at least one operating state of the packaging machine from the following group: downtimes of the packaging machine, start-up of the packaging machine and operation of the packaging machine, by the product—whether entirely or in a partial flow—being removed entirely or partially from the metering chamber past the metering member via an outlet provided in addition to the metering outlet and being recirculated.
