METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A GAS SENSOR
A method for operating a gas sensor system comprising a gas sensor, in order to provide a concentration variable of a gas concentration of a gas component in a sample gas. The method includes: measuring the gas concentration during a measurement process in order to obtain a temporal evolution of a sensor signal as a function of the gas concentration; determining the concentration variable using a data-based sensor model as a function of the temporal evolution of the sensor signal, the data-based sensor model being trained to take into account a behavior of the sensor outside the measurement process in order to ascertain the concentration variable.
ODOR DETECTION DEVICE, ODOR DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An odor detection device (1) includes an odor sensor (10), environmental information measurement means (11, 12), odor information collection means (20), difference information acquisition means (21), and correction means (22). The odor sensor (10) detects information on an odor emitted from an odor source (2). The environmental information measurement means (11, 12) measures information on an environment, correlated with the amount of water vapor contained in surrounding gas. The difference information acquisition means (21) acquires the difference amount of water vapor, indicating a difference between information on an environment surrounding the odor sensor (10) and information on an environment surrounding the odor source (2). The correction means (22) corrects information on an odor, collected by the odor information collection means (20), on the basis of difference information acquired by the difference information acquisition means (21).
Gas sensor element and gas sensor
A gas sensor element comprising a long plate-like element body and a porous protective layer protecting a surface of the element body, wherein the element body has a gas detection part at an end thereof on one end face side in a longitudinal direction, and the protective layer includes an end face part covering the one end face in laminate, side face parts covering side faces connected to the one end face in laminate, and corner parts where two adjacent ones of the end face part and the side face parts meet. An outer surface of one or more of the end face part and the side face parts has a concave shape that is smoothly continuous with the corner parts and configured such that a layer thickness increases toward the corner parts.
Fluid sensor system and method for analysing fluid
A sensor system comprising a housing having an inlet aperture through which fluid enters the housing and a conditioning material in the housing, the conditioning material being adapted to control levels of a substance within the housing. The sensor system comprises a sensor for analysing the fluid in the housing. The sensor system comprises circulation means which is configured to alternate circulation of fluid within the housing between a sensing fluid path in which the fluid is analysed by the sensor and a second fluid path in which the fluid flow is conditioned. A method for analysing fluid in a housing using a sensor is also provided.
Gas detection device and method of manufacturing the same
A gas detection device is provided. The device includes a substrate and a dielectric material applied to the substrate. A sensor material is applied to the dielectric film. The sensor material has a bottom, a side, and a top surface. An electrode material is at least partially applied to the dielectric film and at least partially applied to a portion of the side of the sensor material and a portion of the top surface of the sensor material to pin a portion of the sensor material to the dielectric material. The electrode material forms a vapor barrier upon the sensor material to facilitate preventing delamination between the sensor material and the electrode material over portions of the sensor material where the sensor material is not pinned to the dielectric material.
Clutter avoidance in wide-band cavity ring-down data acquisition
Improved optical absorption spectroscopy of species having broad spectral features is provided by choosing frequencies to cover the spectral feature(s) of interest, where the frequencies are slightly adjusted as needed to avoid narrow spectral features from interfering chemical species (i.e., clutter). The resulting clutter avoidance provides improved optical spectroscopy of species having broad spectral features.
Gas sensor
A gas sensor includes: a first thermistor having a resistance value that changes according to a concentration of a first gas with a first sensitivity and changes according to a concentration of a second gas with a second sensitivity; a second thermistor connected in series to the first thermistor, the second thermistor having a resistance value that changes according to a concentration of the first gas with a third sensitivity that is lower than the first sensitivity and changes according to a concentration of the second gas with a fourth sensitivity that is different from the second sensitivity; and a correction resistor connected in parallel with the first or second thermistor.
Method for Measuring Humidity
A device and method for measuring humidity of a constant flowing sample gas of a combustion process includes transporting the sample gas at a specific temperature above the dew point temperature to a cooling-region having a temperature equal to or lower than a temperature at which water in the sample gas condenses, cooling the sample gas in the cooling-region to at least the condensation temperature, so that water condenses, purging the condensate, determining the temperature of a position in a condensation-region of the cooling-region, and calculating the humidity content of the sample gas based on the determined temperature using calibration data.
Systems and methods for improving detection accuracy in electronic trace detectors
Embodiments of the present specification provide methods and systems for maintaining accuracy and precision of calibration for a detector. The methods and systems include reducing the humidity of an internal calibration assembly by directing flow path of dry air periodically through the internal calibration assembly.
MOISTURE REGULATING ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSORS FOR LOW AND HIGH HUMIDITY ENVIRONMENTS
A moisture regulating electrochemical sensor includes a sensor electrolyte housed in a chamber of a casing configured with electrodes connected electrically to the sensor electrolyte and configured to be connected electrically to an exterior circuit, an inlet, a vent, and a membrane permeable only to moisture, the chamber between the inlet and the vent each to the sensor electrolyte in the chamber, the inlet allowing a target gas to pass through from an exterior target gas environment to the sensor electrolyte in the chamber, and the membrane operatively coupled to the vent, allowing only moisture to translate through the vent between an exterior vent environment and the sensor electrolyte in the chamber.
