Systems and methods for pulse descriptor word generation using blind source separation

A method for generating pulse descriptor words (PDWs) including frequency and/or bandwidth data from time-varying signals received by a sensor includes filtering, at a plurality of blind source separation (BSS) modules, signals derived from the time-varying signals, each BSS module including a filtering subsystem having a plurality of filter modules. Each filter module has a frequency filter coefficient () and is parameterized by a center frequency (f). The method also includes transmitting at least one blind source separated signal from the BSS modules to a PDW generation module communicatively coupled to the filtering subsystem. The method further includes generating, using the PDW generation module and based on the blind source separated signal, at least one PDW parameter vector signal containing the frequency data. The method also includes updating, upon generating and based on the PDW parameter vector signal, values of and/or f for each filter module.

Analysis of a radio-frequency environment utilizing pulse masking

Radio-frequency (RF) signal analysis includes slow-time signal processing and fast-time signal processing. Incoming RF pulses are captured according to a resource scheduling configuration. The fast-time signal processing is to prioritize the captured RF pulses for slow-time signal processing based on dynamic pulse-grading criteria. The slow-time signal processing is to perform relevance evaluation of the prioritized RF pulses, and to adjust the dynamic pulse-grading criteria and the resource scheduling configuration based on the relevance evaluation.

The invention relates to a method for detecting a control method of an inverter (11) for supplying current to an electric machine (1), in particular a synchronous machine, having N phases. The method comprises sensing a control signal (CU, DU, CV, DV, CW, DW), which is fed to the inverter and which is clocked with a periodic cycle, over a specified number of periodic cycles of the control signal; determining a duty cycle frequency for the sensed control signal over the specified number of periodic cycles; and detecting the control method on the basis of the determined duty cycle frequency. The invention further relates to a device (5) designed to perform the method. In addition, the invention further relates a use of the method or of the device to monitor a torque of the electric machine and in particular to estimate an operating-point-dependent power loss of the electric machine according to the detected control method.
