The smart card wallet comprises a front surface plate; a back surface plate; a communication interface configured to receive instructions from a transaction terminal; a switch coupled to the communication interface; an internal core coupled between the front surface plate and the back surface plate, the internal core comprises: a first cavity configured to hold a first smart card that stores one or more sets of information associated with a first account of a user; a second cavity configured to hold a second smart card that stores one or more sets of information associated with a second account of the user, wherein the switch is configured to provide the instructions to the first smart card by electrically coupling the communication interface to the first smart card while the second card remains disabled.
Payment apparatus
An apparatus is disclosed herein. The apparatus includes a first liner, a second liner, one or more fastening components, and one or more prongs. The one or more fastening components couples the first liner to the second liner, defining an opening between. The one or more prongs are positionable between a closed position within the opening and an open position exterior to the opening. The one or more prongs include a payment prong. The payment prong includes a body free, a payment chip receptacle, and a payment chip. The body is free from any personal identification information. The payment chip receptacle is attached to the body. The payment chip is positioned in the payment chip receptacle. The payment chip is removable therefrom.
SMART CARD SYSTEM FOR HOLDING MULTIPLE SMART CARDS
A smart card wallet for holding a plurality of smart cards.
CHIP CARD MODULE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CHIP CARD MODULE
In various embodiments, a chip card module is provided. The chip card module includes a chip card module contact array having six contact pads that are arranged in two rows having three contact pads each in accordance with ISO 7816, and three additional contact pads that are arranged between the two rows. Each additional contact pad is electrically conductively connected to a respective associated contact pad from a row from the two rows.
Chip card assembling structure and method thereof
Disclosed are a chip card assembling structure and a method thereof, including at least one base plate, at least one fixing element having a side forming a fixing trough corresponding to the base plate, at least one adhesive film disposed on one side of the fixing element to cover the fixing trough, and at least one thin-film chip received in the fixing trough and bonded to the adhesive film. To use the present invention, the adhesive film, together with the thin-film chip, is lifted and the base plate is placed into the fixing trough, following setting the adhesive film and the thin-film chip back to have the thin-film chip coupled to the base plate. Then, the adhesive film is lifted to remove the coupled thin-film chip and base plate, so that the relative position between the thin-film chip and the base plate is precise and correct.
SUPPORTING MULTIPLE EUICC PROFILES
The disclosure relates to supporting multiple logical interfaces over a single physical interface, in particular relating to supporting multiple profiles on eSIMs/eUICCs. Example embodiments include an electronic device comprising: an integrated circuit, IC, card domain configured to store a plurality of SIM profiles; and a communication domain coupled to the IC card domain via a physical interface, wherein the communication domain comprises a communication domain interface configured to receive an application command packet, identify one of the plurality of SIM profiles, encapsulate the application command packet with an interface identifier associated with the one of the plurality of SIM profiles in a transport packet and send the transport packet to the IC card domain over the physical interface, and wherein the IC card domain comprises an operating system configured to receive the transport packet, extract the application command packet, send the application command packet to the identified one of the plurality of SIM profiles, receive a response from the identified SIM profile and send the response to the communication domain over the physical interface.
TRANSACTION CARD INCLUDING REMOVABLE CHIP
Provided are approaches for removing a chip of a transaction card using a chip removal element. In some approaches, the transaction card may include a body including a first main side opposite a second main side, a chip coupled to the first main side of the body, and a chip removal element disposed between the chip and the body. A first end of the chip removal element may be positioned within a tab recess along the first main side of the body, wherein the chip removal element is operable to decouple the chip from the body when the chip removal element is moved away from the body.
Data Carrier Comprising a Partial Piece
In a method for manufacturing a data carrier with a partial piece, in particular a chip card, a thickness of the data carrier body is reduced in a predetermined region on the front side of the data carrier body and the data carrier body is cut through in the predetermined region in order to produce the partial piece. The partial piece is fitted into a through opening of the data carrier body created by the cutting through, and is displaced in the through opening in the direction of the front side of the data carrier body such that the partial piece is flush with the front side of the data carrier body.
MULTI-PORTION CONNECTOR FOR USE WITH DIFFERENTLY-SIZED CARDS
An apparatus and method are provided for use with a first card of a first size [e.g. subscriber identify module (SIM) card, etc.] and a second card of a second size (e.g. memory card, etc.). Included is a connector with a first portion and a second portion which is configured for being manipulated to have a first orientation and a second orientation. The first orientation is such that the first portion of the connector is positioned for removably receiving the first card, or the second portion of the connector is positioned for removably receiving the second card. Further, the second orientation is such that the first card is stacked with the second card for being removably inserted in a device. This permits electrical communication between the device and the first card when the first card is removably received in the first portion of the connector, and further permits electrical communication between the device and the second card when the second card is removably received in the second portion of the connector.
