Embodiments disclosed include systems and methods for computer automated print services control comprising authenticating a user credential input via a user device. The system and method includes generating, by a printer driver comprised in the user device, a user interface comprising features supported by a plurality of printing devices. Further, it includes receiving via the user device over the network, a print instruction comprising the features supported by the plurality of printing devices connected to the computer system over the network. And based on the print instruction, generating a print job in an embodiment. Further, based on the user authentication at one of the plurality of printing devices, converting via a gateway, the received print instruction into a format compatible with that printing device and releasing the generated print job for printing at that printing device, according to an embodiment.

Example apparatus and methods are disclosed for monitoring and controlling networked printing devices. A computing device can capture a printing device identifier of a printing device, where the printing device can be communicatively coupled to at least the computing device via a local network. The computing device can send a request to unlock the printing device. The computing device can receive an indication that the printing device is unlocked. After receiving the indication that the printing device is unlocked, the computing device can send a job request requesting execution of a job on the printing device, where the job request can include identification information associated with the computing device and the printing device identifier. The computing device can send job accounting information related to usage of the printing device related at least to the executed job request.

An image processing apparatus includes circuitry that receives a list of file identification information from an external apparatus that stores, for one or more files to be output, file identification information for identifying the file to be output connected to the image processing apparatus via a network, registers, in a memory, output information including file identification information of a first file at least one file of the one or more files that has been output, and based on a result of comparing the list of the file identification information that is received with the file identification information included in the output information, controls a display to display a screen for selecting a file to be output, the screen indicating at least one of the first file and a second file, the second file being at least one file of the one or more files that has not been output.

An image forming apparatus includes: a pull-print data obtaining circuit that obtains rasterized data depending on a resolution of the image forming apparatus from a server device, the server device storing intermediate data and one or more pieces of rasterized data, the intermediate data being generated based on printable data and independent of a resolution, the one or more pieces of rasterized data being generated based on the intermediate data and depending on one or more resolutions, respectively; and an image forming circuit that forms an image based on the obtained rasterized data.

A print data storage apparatus generates preview images for several pages in advance. A print output apparatus displays an outline of print data using the preview images to prompt a user to select print data. When the user requests further information of the print data, the print output apparatus obtains print data from the print data storage apparatus and further generates a preview image.

A disclosed information processing system includes a terminal, and an information processing apparatus. Provided is a pull printing system that is capable of improving security performance over that of a typical system. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing a transmission instruction from a user terminal is successful, a pull printing server of the pull printing system correlates a printing job from the user terminal with identification information of a person providing an execution instruction from the user terminal, and spools the printing job. When authentication based on identification information and authentication information of a person providing the execution instruction from an MFP is successful, the pull printing server sets the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction as a target candidate of pull printing when spooling the printing job that is related with the identification information of the person providing the execution instruction.
