The present invention provides an image forming apparatus comprising: at least one first module and at least one second module configured to execute functions corresponding respectively to the at least one first module; a first control unit configured to notify, to a corresponding second module, a request accepted by the at least one first module; and a second control unit configured to control in accordance with the notification from the first control unit, the corresponding second module, wherein the at least one first module is activated at all times from when the image forming apparatus is activated, and the at least one second module is generated as a container of an execution environment that is independent of an operating system and whose activation state is controlled by an instruction from the second control unit.

An information processing device includes: a processor configured to: when (i) in addition to a first image forming device on which a user is about to use a service, a second image forming device on which the user used the service is present, the second image forming device being different from the first image forming device and (ii) a server in which basic settings of setting items of the service are registered is present, selectively reflect at least one of (a) setting items of the service registered in the second image forming device or (b) the basic settings of the service registered in the server, in the information processing device according to a predetermined condition.

An image forming apparatus operable by an operation device includes a storage that stores a plurality of operations, a detector that detects an operation, and a controller. The controller registers a terminal as the operation device if an operation detected by the detector conforms with an operation stored in the storage.

An information processing device wirelessly communicates with an electronic device via a wireless communication unit and includes a search result acquisition unit, a direction information acquisition unit, and a controller. The search result acquisition unit acquires information of a search result about the electronic device by a search via the wireless communication unit. The direction information acquisition unit acquires direction information representing a direction in which the electronic device exists, by short-range wireless communication with the electronic device via the wireless communication unit.
