An information processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to: accumulate a document received by FAX in a storage; control output of the accumulated document based on an operation of a user; and set a state of the document to unread in response to the document being accumulated in the storage, and set the state of the document to already read on condition that output of all pages of the document is completed.

An image reading apparatus executes a calibration processing of calibrating a reading unit when a medium detection sensor detects that a medium is present. The image reading apparatus executes the calibration processing each time a first time-period elapses in a state where the medium detection sensor detects that the medium is present after the calibration processing. When a start instruction of reading the medium is received, the image reading apparatus starts transport of the medium and causes the reading unit to read the medium on a basis of calibration information of a last calibration processing.

When a medium detector detects that a state where a medium is absent is switched to a state where the medium is present with a light quantity of the medium detector set to a first light quantity, a controller in an image reading apparatus switches the light quantity from the first light quantity to a second light quantity, which is larger than the first light quantity. When a quantity of the light received by the medium detector exceeds a threshold, the controller determines whether the media overlaps each other, based on the detection result of the multi-feed detector. When the quantity of the light received does not exceed the threshold, the controller skips the determination of whether the media overlaps each other.

The image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to perform a print process on print media of plural pages, based on print data for the plural pages, acquire reprinted pages by performing a reprint process on separate print media for defective pages for which a result of the print process is defective, with print settings determined according to an arrangement posture of excellent pages, for which a result of the print process is excellent, on a reuse tray, and output the excellent pages transported from the reuse tray and the reprinted pages together.

An image reading apparatus includes a document table, a pressing plate that rotates about a rotation axis between an open position and a closed position, a line sensor that includes an image sensor arranged in a main scanning direction intersecting the rotation axis and outputs data by reading a document on the document table, and a control unit that determines presence or absence of the document based on first data acquired by the line sensor when the pressing plate is in an intermediate position before reaching the closed position and second data acquired by the line sensor when the pressing plate is in the closed position, wherein when the control unit determines the presence or absence of the document based on the first data and the second data, the control unit uses coefficient data that is smaller as a distance from the rotation axis is longer.

A document conveyance apparatus includes a loading portion having a loading surface for a document, a rotating member, a detection unit, a feeding roller, and a support portion. The rotating member includes a front end portion protruding from the loading surface and rotates about a rotary shaft by being in contact with the loaded document. The detection unit detects rotation of the rotating member and detects presence or absence of the loaded document. The feeding roller feeds the document by being in contact with the document loaded on the loading surface. The support portion rotatably supports the rotary shaft. When the rotary shaft is viewed from an axial direction, the rotary shaft includes a recessed portion recessed from an outer periphery section of the rotary shaft toward a shaft center of the rotary shaft. The support portion is in contact with the recessed portion to rotatably support the rotating member.

An information processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to: accumulate a document received by FAX in a storage; control output of the accumulated document based on an operation of a user; and set a state of the document to unread in response to the document being accumulated in the storage, and set the state of the document to already read on condition that output of all pages of the document is completed.

An image reading apparatus determines an inclination amount corresponding to an inclination angle of a leading edge of an original document in a conveyance direction, and determines the length of the original document in the conveyance direction. The image reading apparatus sets a first value as a set value in a case that the length of the original document is a first length and sets a second value larger than the first value as the set value in a case that the length of the original document is a second length shorter than the first length. If the inclination amount is smaller than the set value, inclination correction for correcting the image represented by the image data is performed such that the inclination amount is reduced, and if the inclination amount is larger than the set value, the inclination correction is not performed.

An image forming apparatus includes a mounting surface provided on a main body and on which paper is placed; a person detection section provided in the main body; a processor configured to control return from a sleep state of the main body, based on the detection of a person by the person detection section, and perform control such that in a case where there is no paper on the mounting surface when transition to the sleep state, a nearby person approaching the main body is included in a detection target of the person detection section, and a passerby passing near the main body is not included in the detection target, in the sleep state, and in a case where there is a paper on the mounting surface when the transition, the nearby person and the passerby are included in the detection target, in the sleep state; and a notification section that notifies of paper remaining in a case where there is a paper on the mounting surface after the return.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, an output unit, a light source, and a processor. The image forming unit creates a printed material by forming an image on paper. The output unit outputs the printed material to an output tray. The light source is provided such that lit light is viewable from outside the image forming apparatus. The processor is configured to receive a print job for creating the printed material by the image forming unit, and perform control such that the light source is lit in a first lighting pattern in a case where a printed material of a print job for a single user has been output to the output tray and the light source is lit in a second lighting pattern in a case where printed materials of print jobs for multiple users have been output to the output tray.
