Method and device for measuring the temperature in electric power resistors
The present invention relates to a method and device for measuring the temperature in power resistors based on the measurement of the high-frequency circuit parameters of said resistor. The present invention excludes the use of thermocouples, dedicated temperature sensors or thermo chambers.
Beverage Heating Receptacle Device
A beverage heating receptacle device for heating a beverage includes a shell, which defines an interior space and which is formed to define a receptacle having an annular sidewall that extends from a bottom to an open top. A beverage is positionable in the receptacle. A heating element is engaged to the shell and is positioned in the interior space proximate to an inner section of the annular sidewall and an upper section of the bottom. A base is selectively engageable to the receptacle so that the base extends from the bottom. A battery is positioned in the base and is operationally engaged to the heating element upon engagement of the base to the receptacle. The battery thus is enabled to selectively power the heating element to heat the beverage.
Method for controlling a cooking process by using a liquid
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a cooking process by using a liquid in a cooking vessel, for example a cooking pot, upon a cooking hob (20). The method comprises a step of determining a cooking parameter of the liquid in the cooking vessel at a predetermined time (tB, tBP), a step of adjusting a heating power density (P) of a cooking zone of the cooking hob (20) for transferring a heating power (P) to the cooking vessel placed on the cooking zone; and a step of reducing the heating power density (P) transferred to the cooking vessel from an initial power (iP) to a simmering power (PS). Further, the present invention relates to a cooking vessel for the cooking hob (20). Moreover, the present invention relates to a cooking appliance for performing the cooking process.
Sensor system and integrated heater-sensor for measuring and controlling performance of a heater system
A fluid sensor system detects one or more performance characteristics of a heating system that heats a fluid. The sensor system includes a probe having a finite length a portion of which is to be immersed in the fluid. The probe includes a resistive heating element and a fluid temperature sensor for measuring one or more performance characteristics, wherein the fluid temperature sensor is configured to measure a fluid temperature, and the resistive heating element is operable as a heater to create a temperature differential between the fluid and air to detect the fluid, and as a sensor to measure a fluid level.
ELECTRIC KETTLE HAVING WARMING FUNCTION AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
An electric kettle includes a container in which water is received, and a base on which the container is seated, wherein the container includes a handle, a body defining space in which water is received, a lid configured to open and close an open upper surface of the body, a heating module mounted on the lower surface of the body and configured to heat water contained in the body, a capacitor; a memory; and a controller configured to detect a voltage of the capacitor according to a preset period and to perform a keep-warm operation based on voltage difference between a currently detected first voltage of the capacitor and a previously detected second voltage of the capacitor, and when the body is seated on the base, commercial power is supplied to the base, and the capacitor is charged by the power transmitted through the base.
Sous vide device
A sous vide device (100) including an outer housing (104) within which there is located a heated tube (448) surrounding inner tubular wall (311), with the inner tubular wall (311) providing a first duct (461), and a second duct (462) being provided between the inner tubular wall and outer tubular wall with the first duct (461) and second duct (462) co-operating to provide a fluid flow path extending from an inlet (107) to an outlet (106), with vanes (450) being attached to the inner tubular wall (311) so as to be rotatably driven thereby to cause the liquid to pass along the fluid flow path.
Circulator cooker with alarm system
A sous-vide circulator cooker that sounds an audible alarm when the system raises the temperature of the water to a determined temperature. The sous-vide circulator cooker includes temperature sensors, heaters and a pump to circulator temperature controlled fluids. The system also contains a speaker or buzzer that can play alarms or music when the system comes to a predetermined temperature. In at least one embodiment, the sous-vide circulator can also distinguish between self-heating and user-induced temperature changes, and will sound alarms accordingly.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR POWERING A THERMAL DEVICE
An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus has an outer housing, an inner housing disposed in the outer housing and forming a gap between an exterior surface of the inner housing and an interior surface of the outer housing, one or more thermal devices disposed in the gap, and an electrical port disposed in or on the outer housing and electrically connected to the one or more thermal devices.
Electric pot having improved function of continuing temperature-maintenance operation
An electric pot may include a controller that controls a heater to perform a temperature-maintenance operation based on an input relating to a temperature-maintenance operation and based on information on temperatures. A memory may receive information in relation to a temperature-maintenance operation from the controller and may store the information and retain the stored information in relation to a temperature-maintenance operation regardless of whether a pot main body is attached to or detached from a supporter.
SENSOR SYSTEM AND INTEGRATED HEATER-SENSOR FOR MEASURING AND CONTROLLING PERFORMANCE OF A HEATER SYSTEM
A heater system includes an integrated heater device and a control system. The integrated heater device includes a thermocouple for measuring temperature and one or more multiportion resistive elements that are operable as heaters to create a temperature differential between the fluid and air to detect the fluid, and as sensors to measure a fluid level.
