The system includes a solid joint, adapted to be located adjacent and along an intersection of the side and top surfaces, that entirely and sealably covers the intersection and a lower portion of the side surface adjacent the intersection and at least a proximal portion of an external ledge of the top surface adjacent the intersection. The joint defines a free surface angled relative to both the external side surface and the top surface. In a cross section of the joint, the free surface, the lower portion and the at least a proximal portion form a triangular shape. A heating device extends along the joint and inside the triangular shape to selectively dissipate heat into the joint.

The method also includes running a scrollable grid of internal heating coils, having an angular relation to each other, along a portion of the length and a portion of the width of the substrate within the thickness of the substrate.

HEATING CONTROL SYSTEM

A heating control system is provided for a multi-occupancy building. The heating control system uses a plurality of mobile devices, for example mobile telephones or tablet computers, which connect to a multiple-access-point wireless data network within the building. The wireless access points provide a controller with details of devices connected to each access point, so that occupancy of each heating zone can be estimated. The mobile devices can be used by occupants to send messages to the controller requesting increases or decreases in temperature. In this way, the temperature of heating zones within the building may be regulated taking into account the preferences of all occupants.

An apparatus may include an enclosure that includes a plurality of mounting features that are configured to receive information handling systems; one or more environmental sensors configured to determine environmental conditions associated with the enclosure; a position sensor configured to determine a geodetic location of the enclosure; a heater configured to heat the enclosure; and a heater control system. The heater control system may be configured to: receive information regarding an origin for the enclosure, a destination for the enclosure, and a desired destination temperature for the enclosure; establish a model for the enclosure, wherein the model incorporates data from the one or more environmental sensors and data from the position sensor; and based on the model, predictively determining control parameters for the heater configured to cause the enclosure to reach the desired destination temperature at or before a time of arrival at the destination.
