A mother substrate that enables winding cores to be obtained in a manner in which the mother substrate is divided along x-direction division lines and y-direction division lines is prepared. Subsequently, x-direction division grooves are formed along the x-direction division lines on a first main surface of the mother substrate, y-direction division grooves are formed along the y-direction division lines on the first main surface, and shallow bottom surface exposure grooves, for exposing surfaces that are to be core portion bottom surfaces, are formed on the first main surface. The mother substrate is divided by performing a flattening process on a second main surface of the mother substrate that is opposite the first main surface until the second main surface reaches the x-direction division grooves and the y-direction division grooves to obtain the winding cores that are separated from each other.

Process For Making A Connecting Element For The Friction-Increasing Connection Of Components, And Use Of A Connecting Element

The present disclosure relates to an array of connecting elements, the array comprising (i) a support structure, and (ii) a plurality of connecting elements, wherein each connecting element comprises a metal substrate having a first joining surface on one side of the substrate and a second joining surface on an opposite side of the substrate, wherein each joining surface comprises hard particles fixed on the metal substrate by a binder layer; wherein each connecting element is associated with at least one holding arm integrally linking the connecting element to at least one of (a) the support structure and (b) one or more other connecting elements. The present disclosure further relates to a process for producing said array and to a process for producing a plurality of individual connecting elements, and to the use of a connecting element made from said array to connect a first component and a second component to be joined in machine, plant or motor vehicle construction, in energy generation, or in microelectronic or micromechanic equipment.

This invention describes a process flow and method to assemble triple IG units without contaminating the center glass lite. A non-contact vacuum pad is used to lift a glass lite off from a horizontal or vertical support that conveys it from a glass washer to an assembly station. Each of multiple pads has a capacity to lift approximately seven to ten pounds. Use of multiple pads per glass sheet or lite allows lites having dimensions up to 70 by 100 inches (assuming glass thickness of one quarter inch) to be assembled.

Process for making a connecting element for the friction-increasing connection of components, and use of a connecting element

Arrays having a support structure and a plurality of connecting elements are described. Each connecting element is associated with at least one holding arm integrally linking the connecting element to at least one of (a) the support structure and (b) one or more of the other connecting elements. The connecting element of these arrays include a metal substrate having joining surfaces on opposite sides, where each joining surface has hard particles fixed on the metal substrate by a binder layer. Processes for producing such arrays and using the connecting elements are also described.
