An arrangement of a gantry lifting device for handling containers, in particular ISO containers, having a sensor device for the navigation of the gantry lifting device and having a clearance profile which is formed such that the gantry lifting device can move across a container, and of a row of spaced-apart marking elements such that the gantry lifting device can be moved along the row of marking elements by means of raster navigation, where the row of marking elements can be read by the sensor device of the gantry lifting device. The sensor device, in an operating position, is arranged outside the clearance profile on the gantry lifting device so as, in the operating position, to read the row of marking elements for the navigation of the gantry lifting device, where the row of marking elements is arranged next to the clearance profile of the gantry lifting device.

A quay crane including auxiliary equipment, which is equipment other than main equipment for performing main operations of the quay crane. The auxiliary equipment includes: a main equipment cooling device for cooling the main equipment; a loading and unloading lighting device for lighting a loading and unloading operation range of the main equipment; a room cooling device for cooling a room; and a room lighting device for lighting the room. If an operating condition of the main equipment or a room condition satisfies a predetermined electric power reduction condition while the quay crane is in operation, the auxiliary equipment that is keeping the operating condition of the main equipment or the room condition is put into a power saving mode in which the auxiliary equipment consumes less electric power than in a normal operation.

Provided is a safety lighting system for an overhead crane comprising a laser generator capable of generating a laser signal; and a crane control system having a programmable logic circuit; wherein the laser generator is integrated with the crane control system; and wherein the laser generator is operable to project a laser signal onto a surface corresponding to the position of the crane or crane components and a method of using the safety lighting system to determine when an object has crossed into a designated safety zone.

A boom extension device for a dockside container crane. A boom comprises a rear boom section (11) and a front boom section (12). The extension device comprises: an extension trolley tool (2) which is disposed below the rear boom section (11) and the front boom section (12) during an extension operation, and which comprises a wheel set (21), a trolley frame (22), a construction platform (23), and a movement track (24) disposed on the construction platform; a fits support frame trolley (31) disposed on the movement track (24) and used to carry a boom extension section (41) and guide the boom extension section (41) to move in a first direction; and a second support frame trolley (32) disposed on the movement track (24) and used to carry the front boom section (12) and guide the front boom section (12) to move in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction in a first plane. Further included is an extension method for a boom of a dockside container crane. The invention reduces usage of heavy-duty equipment.

A rubber tyred gantry crane three-power hybrid energy saving system comprising a system controller; a unidirectional AC/DC converter; a small diesel generator set having its output going to the unidirectional AC/DC converter and supplying power to a direct-current bus after rectification; a unidirectional DC/AC inverter power supply having its input end connected in parallel with the direct-current bus, and having output going to the auxiliary transformer after inversion; a battery set and its management system; an interconnection switch; a large diesel generator set; and an auxiliary transformer. Electrical equipment mainly includes a hoist frequency converter, a trolley frequency converter, a gantry frequency converter, auxiliary electrical equipment and a control power supply. The battery set and its management system are connected in parallel with the direct-current bus, provide operating power to the gantry frequency converter, the hoist frequency converter and the trolley frequency converter, and recover the feedback energy of the system.
Method for Efficient Power Plant Maintenance
Methods for nuclear power plant maintenance which reduces outage time while a polar crane is maintained. In some examples, the method includes the steps of placing an auxiliary crane on a set of rails of a polar crane, using the auxiliary crane to perform maintenance work while the polar crane is maintained, and removing the auxiliary crane after maintenance work on the polar crane is completed. In some further examples, the method includes placing a second auxiliary crane on the set of rails. Still in other example, bridge motors are used to turn the rails, allowing the auxiliary crane to reach every area of the plant floor.

Disclosed is a tired gantry crane and a straddle carrier for receiving power in a contactless fashion, and the tired gantry crane includes a rechargeable battery provided to supply power from the inside thereof, and a power collecting unit configured to receive power from a power supply unit installed at the outside, wherein the power supply unit and the power collecting unit interact with each other by means of magnetic induction. The straddle carrier includes a power collecting unit configured to receive power in a contactless fashion from a power supply unit installed at the outside, the power collecting unit charges a rechargeable battery installed at the straddle carrier, and the power supply unit and the power collecting unit interact with each other by means of magnetic induction.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LOADING A SEA CONTAINER WITH AN ELONGATED HEAVY PRODUCT OR A ROW OF HEAVY PRODUCTS
Device (1) for loading a sea container (51) with an elongated heavy product or a row of heavy products via an open front side of the sea container. The device comprises a vehicle comprising a frame (3) and further comprises an engaging unit (11) provided with engaging elements, and moving means for moving the engaging unit up and down relative to the frame. The engaging unit comprises a subframe which is provided with an elongated lifting arm (12) which extends at least substantially horizontally and which has a free end which is oriented in the direction of movement, on the underside of which lifting arm a number of engaging elements are provided over at least part of the length of the lifting arm in at least one row extending in the longitudinal direction of the lifting arm. The invention further provides a method for loading a sea container with an elongated heavy product or a row of heavy products via an open front side of the sea container, using a device according to the invention, as well as a method for unloading a sea container.

The transport device includes a lid fall preventive member disposed so as to face an upper end of the lid of the container located in a transport position, and a lid detector that is disposed in the lid fall preventive member and detects the presence or absence of the upper end of the lid.
