A board game system comprises a game board, having a surface adapted to receive a board game overlay, a detector array adapted to detect the respective positions of a plurality of game pieces placed on top of the board game overlay, and a transmitter adapted to transmit data indicating the respective positions to an entertainment device; and an entertainment device, having a receiver adapted to receive from the game board data indicating the respective positions of the plurality of game pieces, a game state analyser operable to update the state of a game in dependence upon the indicated respective positions of the plurality of game pieces, and an image generator operable to generate an image for output to a display, the content of the image being responsive to the detected state of the game.

The game plate is single and/or trifold with the trifold plate comprising a ferrous core with top and bottom laminate materials connected via hinges. The retaining disc is stackable, which can be placed on a number of cards or on each other. The present invention is directed to an arcade type vacuum crane game that includes a turntable with a target support structure such as cylindrical, open ended target holders to prevent targets from toppling before, during, and after playing the game. The turntable is rotated by a centrally disposed motor having a shaft that receives a projection on the turntable to rotate the turntable in the direction of the shaft. The shaft receives the peg therein, but does not carry the weight of the turntable, which instead is supported by three peripheral rotatable wheels disposed about the motor on a bracket. Because the turntable is simply mounted over the shaft using a fitted mating, the turntable can be lifted off the motor without tools and another turntable set on top of the shaft and wheels quickly and easily.

A word game apparatus and method of use for education and entertainment includes a game board having a board top side, a board bottom side, and a board perimeter. The board top side has a central play portion. A plurality of letter tiles includes three alphabet sets of twenty-six letter tiles. The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to an interactive board game. The game includes a game board, one or more base pieces, a plurality of playing pieces, and at least one chance device (e.g., playing dice). The base pieces are inserted and/or adhered into apertures formed in the playing board and thus are used as foundations to support the playing pieces. The object of the game is to stack playing pieces vertically on the base pieces to create a tower structure. The playing pieces are constructed in a variety of shapes and sizes, each with an assigned value, such that successful stacking rewards the player with points.
