METHOD FOR DETECTING WEAR IN CRUSHERS DURING IDLE OPERATION
A method for detecting wear in crushers, having a wearing part (2) mounted on a drive shaft (1), during idle operation is described in which downtimes that impair crusher productivity can be eliminated and nevertheless reliable wear detection is made possible with low risk of injury to machine operators. The drive shaft (1) is accelerated from a starting angular speed (oil) to an end angular speed (ω2) with a specified acceleration, and the drive energy required for this is ascertained, whereupon the wear of the wearing part (2) is ascertained as the value assigned to the required drive energy in a specified wearing-part characteristic curve (3, 4, 5).

The armor bodies (16) are fixed horizontally in succession on a front side of the impact shield by a fixing element making it possible to detach them from the impact shield (9, 10) for their replacement. The impact shield (9, 10) is composed of a fixed part (21) connected to the frame (2), and a removable part (22) carrying the armor bodies (16) and making it possible to remove simultaneously all the armor bodies, fixed on the same, out of the grinding chamber (3). At least one such impact shield (9, 10) is arranged in a grinding chamber (3) of an impact grinding mill including a frame (2) further including a horizontal-axis rotor (6) provided with impactors (7) arranged regularly around its periphery.
DEVICE FOR BREAKING GLASS
A device for breaking glass articles, such as bottles, the device comprising an inlet to receive an article. A conduit links the inlet with a glass-breaking chamber, and the chamber houses a glass-breaking member, said glass-breaking member being rotatably mounted for rotation in a vertical plane, and to impact a bottle as a bottle enters the chamber. A motor is linked via a horizontally rotating axle to rotate the glass-breaking member. An obliquely mounted crusher plate is located such that as the glass-breaking member rotates and impacts a glass article, which is forced against the crusher plate by the glass-breaking member to aid breakage of a glass article. A collector is included in which broken glass is retained ready for removal from the device. An intermediate collector is also included to temporarily retain broken glass, including a release valve allowing broken glass to pass from the intermediate collector to the collector, via an aperture therebetween.

IMPACT CRUSHER
An impact crusher is provided which comprises a frame defining a crushing chamber, a rotor provided with at least one hammer, at least one impact apron plate, and a rotor positioning device configured to adjust a rotational position of the rotor. The rotor positioning device comprises a piston motor coupled to the rotor and having a cylinder block comprising a plurality of cylinders; a plurality of pistons, a respective piston being slidably mounted in a respective cylinder; and a surface against which the pistons are configured to exert a force. The cylinder block and the surface are arranged for relative rotation, and the cylinder block or the surface is operatively coupled to the rotor, such that relative rotation of the cylinder block and the surface causes rotation of the rotor. The rotor positioning device is operable in first and second modes.
CRUSHER
The invention relates to a crusher, in particular a rotary impact crusher, cone crusher or jaw crusher, having a crusher unit (10), which has a movable first crusher body (11), in particular a rotor or a crusher jaw, wherein a second crusher body (14), in particular an impact rocker or a crusher jaw, is assigned to the first crusher body (11), wherein a crushing gap (15) is formed between the crusher bodies (11, 14), wherein an overload triggering device (30) is coupled to the first crusher body or to the second crusher body, which overload triggering device has a hydraulic cylinder (20) and which overload triggering device is designed to permit a motion of the coupled crusher body (11, 14) increasing the width of the crushing gap (15), wherein the hydraulic cylinder (20) has a pressure chamber (24), which is delimited by means of a piston (23), and wherein the overload triggering device (30) has a pressure valve (31) which, in its open position, establishes a fluid-conveying connection between the pressure chamber (24) and a low-pressure area and, in the closed valve position, blocks this connection. The productivity and operational safety of such a crusher can then be increased if provision is made that the overload triggering device (30) has a high-pressure valve (40), which, as a result of an overload situation, in its open position establishes a fluid-conveying connection between the pressure chamber (24) of the hydraulic cylinder (20) and a low-pressure area and, after the overload situation has ended, is moved into a closed position to block this connection, and in that the triggering pressure required to open the pressure valve (31) is lower than the triggering pressure required to open the high-pressure valve (40).
