A child safety seat comprising a seat shell comprising a seat portion and a back portion, an adjustable backrest configured to be moveable with respect to the seat shell between a first position, where at least a portion of the backrest is moved away from the back portion and closer to a front edge of the seat portion, reducing the available seating area for an occupant of the seat, and a second position, where at least a portion of the backrest is moved toward the back portion and further from the front edge of the seat portion, increasing the available seating area for the occupant of the seat.

The invention relates to a child seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat region, a backrest, a headrest having at least one belt guide, and a headrest inclination adjustment device for adjusting an inclination of the headrest relative to the backrest.

A pram may be used to transport babies and relatively young infants, and may provide a relatively horizontal surface for the baby or infant to be transported upon in a flat lying position. A pram may also be used to transport relatively older infants, and may provide a seat arrangement for the infant to be transported in a sitting position. An aspect of the present disclosure includes a child transportation system comprising a frame 100, wherein the frame 100 is width adjustable between a relatively narrow compact arrangement and a relatively wide comfort arrangement. The frame 100 also includes an infant carrier attachment mechanism 500 configured and arranged to permit, in use, a seat 200 or an infant carrier module 300 to be releasably attached to the frame 100.

A child safety seat includes a support base, a rotary platform and a child seat. The support base is suitable for placement on a vehicle seat and includes an anchoring portion and a bearing portion connected with each other, the anchoring portion having a belt path for passage of a fastening belt to attach the child safety seat on a vehicle seat. A child seat for a motor vehicle having a carry shell with a carrying grip and a seat unit arranged within the carry shell having a back portion, a seat portion, and a leg portion. An upper backrest is fitted on the back portion of the seat unit for movement in a direction to and from the seat portion. The child seat also has a device for altering the position of the upper backrest relative to the back portion, and a harness with two shoulder straps, each shoulder strap being passed through a corresponding slot in the back portion and in the upper backrest, with pivotally mounted strap guides each being assigned to the belt slots in the back portion.

A raising mechanism is adapted for a child safety seat. The child safety seat includes a base and a backrest disposed on the base. The raising mechanism includes a front raising block, a rear raising block, and a driving member. A front end of the front raising block is connected to the base. A rear raising block is connected to the front raising block. The front raising block and the rear raising block form a seating portion cooperatively. The driving member is movably disposed on the base or the backrest. The driving member drives the front raising block and the rear raising block to raise the seating portion. A multi-position child safety seat having a base and a separable seat shell supported by the base wherein the base comprises a movable block that alters the angle of the seat shell dependent upon the position of the block and provides for at least two usable positions of the seat shell. The seat shell includes a latching mechanism for securing the seat shell to the base which is operable in any of the at least two positions. The movable block is hingedly connected to the base and preferably movable between two generally opposing positions corresponding to two pre-determined seat shell positions and may include restraint provisions to preclude unintentional movement of the block.
