BRAKE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
20170355303 · 2017-12-14 ·

An improved brake light assembly is a brake light with a housing and internal light emitting diodes for attachment in the back window of a vehicle that illuminates when the brake pedal is depressed. When the Light Emitting Diodes are illuminated, the words “No Texting” are formed.

APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING FORCED LIGHT UP OF BRAKE LIGHTS
20170349092 · 2017-12-07 · ·

The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the forced light up of brake lights and, more specifically, to an apparatus for controlling the forced light up of brake lights, the apparatus: checking whether a brake light system has problems so as to prevent vehicle rear-ending accidents caused by the breakdown of vehicle brake lights, informing only a driver, according to a state of a vehicle, about each problem, or sensing stepping on the brake and forcedly lighting up the brake lights whenever the driver steps on the brake when the lamp of the brake lights and wiring connected to the brake lights have no abnormalitites, but the breakdown of the brake light system, that is, a brake lights power fuse disconnection, a breakdown of a brake lights relay, a wiring disconnection or defective wiring contact and the like occurs, informs the driver of the stop lamp system breakdown; informing the rear vehicle of danger by flickering a turn signal light since the brake lights cannot be forcedly lit up when both the brake light system and the brake lights have broken down; informing the driver of the breakdown of the brake light system and the brake lights by operating an internal alarm means whenever the driver steps on and releases the brake, thereby enabling the driver to drive safely.

Classic Car Alert System
20170249843 · 2017-08-31 ·

An alert system for a classic car is described. It is well known that classic cars lack the majority of safety features offered on modern vehicles. In addition, driver/owners of classic cars operate them in an environment far different from that which they were created to operate. Therefore, the addition of safety features provides a substantial benefit to driver/owners of classic cars. A classic car alert system is a radio frequency device which sends a signal to a receiving unit mounted to a classic car, providing a third brake light, turn signals and an audible alarm between vehicles. This provides vintage cars with safety features without modifying the vehicle in a way that detracts from its value, appearance, or requires a major rewire of the car systems.

ASIC packaging type electronic brake lamp switch and electronic brake system applying the same

An electronic brake lamp switch may include an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) configured to generate a signal for turning on a brake lamp, an first output signal, and a second output signal, respectively, when a brake pedal is pressed and configured to package electrical elements for preventing failure when the failure such as outside overvoltage, abnormal surge or short circuit able to be generated on an output terminal occurs, and a printed circuit board (PCB) configured to receive power for operating the application-specific integrated circuit and to which the ASIC is mounted.

Mountable Vehicle Safety Light System
20170259732 · 2017-09-14 ·

A mountable vehicle safety light system for conveying additional information regarding the motion of a vehicle. The mountable vehicle safety light system includes a housing having three rows of uniquely colored lights. The colors may include red, yellow and green. A first row indicates when a vehicle is braking, a second row indicates when a vehicle is neither braking nor accelerating, and a third row indicates when a vehicle is accelerating. Additionally, a first side member placed on a first side of the housing may indicate an upcoming right turn, while a second side member placed on an opposing second side of the housing indicates an upcoming left turn. A fastener is provided to secure the mountable vehicle safety light system to a flat surface, such as a rear windshield of a vehicle, in order to be easily visible to surrounding motorists and pedestrians.

VEHICULAR, ADAPTIVE BRAKE LIGHT TO CUSTOM LIGHT SEQUENCING SYSTEM

A vehicular, adaptive brake light to custom light sequencing system generally includes an OEM vehicular brake light circuit electrically connected to OEM brake lights of a vehicle, and an aftermarket flashing circuit electrically connected within or to the OEM vehicular brake light circuit to cause the OEM brake lights to flash. The system further includes an aftermarket directional indicator circuit electrically connected within or to the OEM vehicular brake light circuit and electrically connected to the aftermarket flashing circuit to effectuate a flashing of at least one of an OEM left brake light and an OEM right brake light. The system also includes an aftermarket hazard light circuit that is electrically connected within or to the OEM brake light circuit and to the aftermarket flashing circuit to effectuate a flashing hazard by the OEM brake lights. Alternate sequencing systems include solid state electronics and protection against environmental contaminants.

AUXILIARY LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN INDICATOR OF BRAKE MAGNITUDE ON A VEHICLE
20210380035 · 2021-12-09 ·

Instead of binary brake lights on a car, the present disclosure provides methods and apparatus to provide an indicator of deceleration magnitude of a car, as caused by coasting or engine braking. An accelerometer or other means of approximating the magnitude of a braking force is coupled to a control module, which itself is coupled to auxiliary lights mounted on the car. These auxiliary lights are capable of displaying a pulse, color, or a pattern correlated to the magnitude of the deceleration force. Through a detection system, like lidar or radar, an oncoming obstacle can be anticipated and the auxiliary lights can be similarly actuated. This gives drivers behind the car an indication of how quickly to respond to a decelerating car.
