POLYESTER DEMULSIFIER

A demulsifier includes the reaction product of a) a combination of a monoglyceride and polyethylene glycol (PEG), b) an acid having at least two carboxyl groups, a full or partial ester thereof, an anhydride thereof and combinations thereof, and c) optionally, a fatty acid, a fatty alcohol and combinations thereof. A method of demulsifying a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion includes adding the demulsifier to the emulsion and separating the emulsion into an oil phase and a water phase.

Process for preparing light curable energetic binder

The present invention is directed to a process for preparing light curable energetic polymeric binders. The process for preparing such binder comprises the steps of mixing a pre-polymer such as PGN or GAP having a terminal hydroxyl group with a solvent and adding reactants wherein the reactant has a light curable moiety and a pre-polymer reactive moiety. Catalysts such as carbodiimide and DMAP may be further added to the mixture.

CURED COATING FILM

Provided is a matte-like cured coating film that is provided on a substrate such as a wiring boar, in which scratches are unnoticeable. The cured coating film is a cured coating film of a curable resin composition provided on the substrate. The cured coating film satisfies Gs (20°)≤5 and Gs (85°)≥35 and has a ratio R represented by the formula R={Gs (85°)/Gs (60°)}/{Gs (60°)/Gs (20°)} ranging from 0.35 to 4.0, where Gs (20°), Gs (60°), and Gs (85°) are 20° gloss, 60° gloss, and 85° gloss on a surface of the cured coating film measured according to JIS Z 8741-1997, respectively.

Multi-arm single molecular weight polyethylene glycol, active derivative thereof, and preparation and application thereof

Being used for drug modification, the multi-arm single molecular weight polyethylene glycol and an active derivative thereof provided herein can effectively improve the solubility, stability, and immunogenicity of the drugs, improve the absorption of the drugs in vivo, prolong the half-life of the drugs, and increase bioavailability, enhance efficacy, and reduce toxic and side effects of the drugs. A gel formed from the active derivative of the multi-arm single molecular weight polyethylene glycol provided herein can be used for the preparation of controlled release drugs so as to prolong the action time of the drugs, thereby reducing the number of administrations and improving patient compliance.

Lubricant for magnetic recording medium, and method for producing magnetic recording medium

A lubricant for a magnetic recording medium capable of forming a lubricant layer having excellent adhesion to a protective layer is provided. A lubricant for a magnetic recording medium contains a fluorine-containing ether compound in which a group having an ethylenic carbon-carbon double bond is disposed at one or both terminals of a perfluoroalkyl polyether chain. It is preferable that the group having the ethylenic carbon-carbon double bond is disposed at one terminal of the perfluoroalkyl polyether chain, and a hydroxyl group is disposed at other terminal. It is preferable that the lubricant for a magnetic recording medium contains a compound in which one or more functional groups selected from a hydroxyl group, an amino group, an amido group and a carboxyl group is disposed at one or both terminals of a perfluoroalkyl polyether chain.
